Comfortable, reasonable price, and great location in terms of proximity to old town Philadelphia. The problem was the toilet as noted by other guests too.
A Relaxing Weekend Getaway!!
My husband and I were looking for a relaxing place to put our feet up for the weekend. Neither of us wanted to be cooped up in a hotel room; we wanted outside space to sit and drink coffee in the morning and a something stronger at the end of the day. This houseboat suited us perfectly. It was close enough to the old city that we could walk over and grab a bite to eat, but far enough out of the hustle and bustle to truly feel relaxing. We napped on the lounge chairs on the upper deck, sat on the picnic table at the end of the dock and watched the boats go by, and chatted with marina neighbors while we were sitting on the lower deck. All in all, I think we were only inside long enough to sleep and shower. Jack provided the Keurig and enough cups for multiple cups of coffee, we didn't really need to bring a thing except our own beverages and snacks. The marina was tricky to find the first time, but Jack met us outside and showed us the ins and outs. We appreciated that he took the time to answer our questions, point out some local places to eat and made sure we understood about the marine toilet. This was a great experience, and if we're ever going to be passing through Philly again and need a weekend getaway, we would definitely book this again.
We had a wonderful stay. The houseboat was perfect, Jack was very helpful too. Highly recommend, you wont be disappointed!
What a wonderful place! Charming , cozy and fine in driving rain as well as sun. Easy to walk to old Town, South St or Constitutional historic venues. If you like to walk, enjoy walking to museum area and center city. Sorry to leave.
Close to Old City, galleries, restaurants and bustle, but once we went through the marina gates it was peaceful and relaxing. Best of both worlds. Spotless, comfortable bed, plenty of hot water. Looking forward to planning a return visit!
We stayed in Pisces for a long weekend during the regatta, and really enjoyed our time here! Even during a Nor'Easter, with winds of 25 MPH and cold rain, we were comfy and cozy..The boat rocked a bit, but it was soothing..small but spacious, comfortable beds and sofa..equipped with heat and all of the amenities one would need...a word of caution, or advice...use the marina toilets. They are not far away, and very nice...
The toilet onboard is barely adequate for #1...don't even attempt #2...enough said....Manager was very responsive and informative...great restaurants and historic sites within walking distance! Loved the marina cafe! Thanks so much!!!
