The stay on 2.

  • 5 of 5

The stay on 2.1.2017 was perfect - 10 out of 10. This wonderful historic cottage was our favourite accomodation during our four weeks on the North and South Island. The house is spacious and cozy at the same time, offering every comfort. Great location with views across the farmland. At night it is absolutely quiet. We slept so well in the comfy beds. The hosts Deidre and David are especially nice and made us feel very welcome.

Rose Cottage is more than a cottage.

  • 5 of 5

Rose Cottage is more than a cottage. "Villa" would be a better word. Rose Cottage is a well laid out and beautifully restored home, with 2 bedrooms, sleeping 6 people (1 bunk bed). It is about 100 meters away from the main house, providing ultimate privacy. It is set in an utterly beautiful scenery. Although very rural it is only 15 minutes drive to the closest supermarket. There is a very scenic trip from the cottage to Dannevirke taking you past the world's longest place name.

Wonderful property, we were a grandma, a couple, a 6 year old and a cocker spaniel. We all loved it, not sure how we managed to peel ourselves away! Beautiful house and fantastic hosts. We hope to be back again - again!
