GUEST REVIEWS

" We had a wonderful time.  The room was better than expected.  We were in South Lake Tahoe for our youngest daughters wedding, flying in from the east coast and travelling with my 84 year old mother-in-law.  The two connected rooms gave all of the privacy and the room to really spread out.  The resort was fabulous although we didn’t have the time to use the wonderful facilities; i.e. pool, spa, etc.   Perhaps next time and I really hope there is a “next time.”  We could not have been happier.  The staff was exceptional and the room was in perfect working order.  Also, the bed was REALLY comfortable.  We slept great each night. We would absolutely stay again."

Sincerely,

Mrs. Angela Ziebarth

Fair

Very nice staff (expect a sales pitch to buy into the program), lots of people, crowded pools, clean rooms.

Would have helped if we got to stay here

  • 2 of 5

We reached and they made an excuse that due to maintenance issues they cannot give us a room. We had booked way in advance for a night and they just were overbooked for the rush season. They directed us to a sister resort which was 1.5 miles away from the heavenly valley. To be fair they did refund our money back. So 2 stars for that.

I wouldn't recommend

  • 1 of 5

I was in the room with my sister and my 8 year old niece (2 ladies and a child girl), on the first night, several times, some drunk people kept slamming our door really hard, and my niece got really scared. This started happening around 9pm, I called the reception, they said they would send the security to check, but I don't know if the did because it kept happening until around 11pm. After 2 hours of this absurd happening and scaring the child that was in the room with me (and nothing being done by the hotel to stop it despite my multiple calls to the reception to report the problem), I decided to record with my cell phone and went to the reception to show it to them, and only after that they did something (moved us to a different room, which was a terrible room - the heater wasn't working properly, the tub was clogged, the doors were really hard to open/close).

My husband (that wasn't traveling with us) was worried about our safety, called the reception and talked to Richard and his explanation was " this is just drunk people" as if it was normal to have drunk people slamming others door.

I wouldn't recommend this resort to anyone, specially families with kids.

Nice and new resort

  • 3 of 5

Very nice and new resort. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Stayed for weekend get away. My one note is that even though your pain on this site, when you get to the resort you still need to pay an additional $60 and Resort fees. They also need your credit card for $100 refundable deposit, we were caufht off guard with the extra cost. May be same or cheaper to actually book through the resort?

it was ok

  • 3 of 5

over all the stay was ok.

there were several things that did frustrate me.

1having to go to a presentation to buy into the resort. We were suppose to be kept no longer than 120 min

we spent 4 hrs. We did buy into a smaller offer, but doubtful we will make this long lasting

2 we only saw a maid once in 4 days. Our room was only cleaned once.

3 the parking is horrible, our car had to be valeted more than parked.

4 we went to the only restaurant in the hotel at 9pm to get their "infamous" peach cobbler. after waiting almost 15 min to be seated the waitress was serving people at a table with dessert, we were told the restaurant was closed at 9pm. However the sign on the door said 10pm.

5.resort is beautiful
