About Dick Sabatini- Owner

About ten years ago, Dick Sabatini and family bought 91 acres of land adjacent to the Pellerin Campground. The Sabatini brothers who are builders by trade, constructed five cabins in the woods. These three season cabins have provided many happy family memories for our family and many others.

Dick Sabatini- Owner purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Dick Sabatini- Owner chose Kennebec

Voted #23 out of 100 US lakes by BassMaster for bass fishing in 2014!

Unlike most lake front properties in Maine, this property has a gradual slope that continues into the water. This makes it enjoyable for boating, swimming and great for kids. The friendly people at the Pellerin Campground made us feel like part of the family. You too will enjoy the friendly family atmosphere here at the cabins at Pellerin Cove!

What makes this cabin unique

The stars are so bright in the sky at night while enjoying singing and fun around the campfire. Don't forget your guitar.

Please note*** Cabin 13 is NOT a pet friendly cabin.

Cabins 1 and 7 are pet friendly.

Thank you!

Wonderful week in a beautiful and peaceful setting

  • 5 of 5

The Cabins at Pellerin Cove are a lovely place to get away. My husband and I stayed in Cabin 13 for 4 nights and we loved it.

The cabin itself is beautiful. It is very comfortable and cozy, with plenty of room to stretch out. The interior has an authentic Maine feel, with cedar and pine construction. There is a comfortable living area with a gas fireplace, a loveseat, and an overstuffed chair. The dining area has room for 4 at a round table, plus three more at the kitchen peninsula. There is also a stunning screened in porch with another table and chairs for dining outside.

For sleeping, there is a comfortable first floor bedroom with a queen size bed. Upstairs there is a room with two twin beds and a loft with a full size futon.

Even though the cabin is small, it feels very spacious because of the cathedral ceilings.

The kitchen is great. It is fully equipped with plenty of counter space and a full size fridge and range. There is also a gas grill outside. Our first night there we grilled ribeyes and ate them on the screened porch. It was heavenly.

Pellerin Cove is a very sweet place with seasonal RVs dotted around the grounds. We found everyone we encountered to be friendly, funny, and welcoming. The cabins are actually tucked off to the side, however, so we also had plenty of privacy.

My favorite part of our stay was hanging out in the adirondack chairs next to the lake. My husband and I spend a lot of time with the binoculars watching the eagles, osprey, loons, and ducks. It was absolutely wonderful.

We loved the area. China is very centrally located, so it is a perfect launch pad for exploring mid coast or central Maine. We headed into Belfast for lunch, paddled around the ponds in Liberty, and ate a TON of seafood at Mjek's in China. (HIGHLY recommended.)

All in all, it was a great trip. We would love to come back!

Comfortable cabin in the woods

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was exactly what we were looking for - located such that you had some privacy yet shared access to a beach and dock on China Lake. It was well supplied, clean, and comfortable. Our family - three generations of us - enjoyed it thoroughly.

heaven

  • 5 of 5

We rented four cabins for a big reunion, and the trip was great. Close to a grocery store, but still in the woods, the location is wonderful and quiet. Cabins are lovely, kitchens are fully equipped. Lake was beautiful. We brought our own kayaks, and the place was safe enough that we left them outside on the beach for our whole trip.

great little cozy cabin!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I came up to Maine for the Colby College parents weekend. Instead of choosing to stay in a bland hotel, we chose to rent Cabin 13. We are so glad we did! We loved the comfortable, cozy feel of the cabin in the woods and by a lake, but also that we were not too far from campus. The cabin was very clean and well kept, not to mention adorable. We loved the gas stove which warmed up the cabin just perfectly, and the two screened in porches which provided a lovely view of the surroundings. Thanks for opening your cabin for us to enjoy!

Great stay for our family reunion!

  • 5 of 5

It wasn't exactly what I was expecting but turned out even better. We rented cabins 9, 11, and 13 for a get together of 15 adults and we really couldn't have been happier with the accommodations. Each cabin had plenty of room, with cabin 13 having the queen bed in the master, cabin 11 having the biggest living room, and cabin 9 having the best deck. Each cabin had ceiling fans in the bedrooms which was a bonus, a nice little kitchen, and a fire pit. Cabins 11 and 13 had a fire pit with picnic tables between them and we spent most of our time gathered around the camp fire. The camp grounds had several trailers with long time visitors and you could not find a nicer bunch of folks. They were friendly and quick to provide information on various points of interest around the campsite. Of note, an ice cream parlor just around the corner. As for the lake, it was prestine and could only have been better if I had been on it with a boat. Best of all, the owners were very responsive, a joy to work with, and made us feel like family. Pros: Everything. Cons: Leaving. We hope to return soon! Thank you so very much.
