Welcome to Bent Apple Farm - Once a morgan horse farm now your perfect escape!
This shaker house part built by my mom, stepdad and an award winning architect has been featured in a number of lifestyle magazines. With a beautiful in-law barn (200 year old wood from a barn in NY) this house is perfect if you have a big family or a smaller family that just likes to spread out. If an authentic VT farmhouse with all the modern amenities is your idea of perfection, you have found the right house! Does your family love to congregate in the kitchen? This house was outfitted with top of the line kitchen appliances and has actually been featured on a number of cooking shows! If old style wood burning stoves and dutch oven cooking are your thing, we have that too! With a wrap around country style porch and rocking chairs, you have your views to choose from! Bring the family and the horses! With miles and miles of trial riding just steps from the front door and some of the best private cross country ski and hiking trails with have a feeling all members of the family will be content. With a pond perfect for winter ice skating parties and swimming in the summertime you really won't run out of activities without even leaving the property. What about the views from the 6 person hot tub of Bromley and Stratton Mountain!
The Converted Barn - The barn has been converted into a beautiful in-law private home. It is outfitted with a state of the art commercial kitchen and is located close enough to the main house for convenience and just far enough away for a little privacy. I worked almost 2 years on this project and I believe between the two houses on the property you really can't ask for a more VT experience!
Horses...: For years we raised Morgan horses on Bent Apple Farm. If you have your own horses please inquire with the owners as we are in the process of converting our huge equipment shed back into a working barn. We have a training ring as well as two divided grazing fields. Trail riding is available directly from the property and horses are welcome along the road. There are great rides to the falls just at the end of our road. There is also trailer parking next to the barn.
