About Adam Bowe

People ask us often how we came to Montana from Tarpon Springs, Florida. Truth is, our family had been discussing moving away from Florida for a few years. Our parents, Randy and Shalann, took their first trip to Montana in January of 2006. With temperatures dipping to 34 below zero, needless to say, they were having second thoughts of moving to Montana! They came to look at a special property in southwest Montana, called the Silver Bow Club. The property was originally designed to be a multi home community. The declining economy and the dropping real estate market brought the Silver Bow Club to market. Once the centerpiece of the project – the lodge, the main community building, was abandoned and left as an empty log shell.

After purchasing the property, the lodge underwent a massive construction project. Our family lived in the Copper John Cabin for nearly a year as the lodge was completed. As you can see from the photographs, it was worth the wait!

Fast forward a few years…… we love and enjoy the property so much, we began offering cabin rentals along with bed and breakfast in the lodge. Today, eldest son Adam and wife Ashlee, run the Silver Bow Club as a guest ranch with the elegant main lodge for large groups and cabins that everyone can enjoy. As a family, we have been blessed. We would love to share with you this magnificent place called the Silver Bow Club.

Why Adam Bowe chose Butte

The Silver Bow Club began as a fishing lodge for the members of Butte, Montana’s Silver Bow Club. A club made up primarily of wealthy individuals with ties to the booming copper industry, the ranch on the Big Hole River served as a retreat for hunting and fishing pursuits.

In 2006, fate and the US economy saved the ranch from becoming another playground for the wealthy. The Bowe family lovingly completed the main lodge. Using wood from cabins on the property during the Copper Kings era, furniture and cabinets were crafted from the reclaimed wood. With 1800 acres of hay meadow and craggy slopes, the ranch is located just upstream of the Maiden Rock Canyon of the Big Hole River. Home to a resident herd of elk, mule deer, and bighorn sheep, the ranch boast more than three miles of frontage on the Blue Ribbon Trout Stream, the Big Hole River. The valley is full of sage with a lush riverbank of mint, and mountainsides of rugged beauty.

We invite you to share our Montana ranch with friends and family – The Bowe Family

A little piece of heaven on earth!

The beauty of this place is really the privacy of it! You're tucked away between mountains. The landscaping is absolutely gorgeous! There's a gorgeous hay meadow behind the cabin. Daily walks around the property are made so enjoyable by following a perfect cart path. My husband enjoyed fly fishing in the river just across the meadow. We saw mountain goats up close and personal on a daily basis. The cabin itself is the perfect little home away from home. Very up to date, super comfy, and clean! Adam and his family are the kind of people that make you feel very comfortable. If we needed anything, it was a call away. We will definitely be returning here again & again!

Fantastic property and super nice folks

  • 5 of 5

We spent four nights at Adam's cabin. I am a big fly fisherman and my wife loved the ranch, flowers and critters. We had a fantastic time and enjoyed the solitude this ranch provides. The fishing was fantastic and we both wade fished the property and took a float trip with a local guide service on the Big Hole river. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to get away. If getting closer to the outdoors is your desire this property is a great option. Cindy and Dale were fantastic hosts and gave us a great tour of the ranch. We will definitely be headed back soon.

Amazing cabins, views, and experience!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I (wife, daughter 8, son 15 mos, mother) arrived at the Silver Bow Ranch and were immediately struck by the beauty of the property. The river, mountains, and landscape were breathtaking. We stayed in the SalmonFly cabin and loved all of the touches that brought a rustic feel to the experience. The ability to be remote, yet have modern conveniences appealed to everyone in my family. My children loved riding around the property from fishing hole to fishing hole on the golf cart. My mother caught her first trout and be it on a fly rod on this trip. The stocked pond is wonderful for everyone. The trout are quite nice and the background of the lodge setting is wonderful. Adam and his staff have thought of everything when it comes to the cabin. We found everything we needed to prepare meals and enjoy ourselves overall. Fishing the Big Hole river was such a great experience. Having a Trico and Spruce moth hatch was awesome. I stood in the river one morning with Tricos all around, the browns were coming up and some were sipping while others were jumping at the bugs. I caught my fair share and I loved every minute. If you want a great Montana experience, with great fishing included, this is the place to come.

PS. When we arrived, my wife's car had a flat tire, Adam took it off and patched it. WOW, what all around service. Anything to make the experience more enjoyable. Thanks again Adam. We will be back.

Fly Fishing Paradise

The Silver Bow Ranch was everything they portrayed themselves as and more. Adam and his family were gracious hosts and The Copper John cabin was cozy and very accommodating for our family of five and dog! My husband and son thoroughly enjoyed fishing the Big Hole River and we enjoyed the delicious fish dinner we had. I thoroughly enjoyed the golf cart and spotting a momma moose and her two babies and the bull moose the next day! It is a great place to hang out and enjoy the scenery.

Wonderful getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We can't say enough about our stay at The Silver Bow Club! We stayed at the Copper John Cabin and it really felt like a home away from home. We loved the cabin, the property, the wildlife and the river. Adam is an incredible host and it was a pleasure getting to know him and learning about the history of the Club. The lodge is absolutely beautiful and would be wonderful for a group getaway or corporate retreat. Peaceful setting on the Bow River. We definitely will be back!
