Leave everyday life behind - visit Graylag to relax in a comfortable rustic environment in the forest. Our 6 family-style cottages share the lakefront so you can enjoy swimming, fishing, sailing and boating, or explore the miles of trails within our 300-acre woodland preserve. Spend evenings cooking over the fire and roasting marshmallows while listening to the calls of owls and loons.
Graylag is perfect for couples, family reunions and group retreats -- rent one cabin or the entire property.
Bower Cabin is designed for a couple. The space is intimate, and attention has been paid to every rustic detail. Beautiful natural woodworking, created with timber harvested here at Graylag can be seen throughout the space.
Bower features a generous main room with a queen-sized bed, sofa, dining table and a double-glass atrium door overlooking the woods and a dramatic ledge outcropping. There is a fully equipped kitchen with an antique porcelain double sink, coffee maker, toaster and microwave. The bathroom has an old-fashioned claw foot soaking tub. There is a Rinnai gas heater to take the chill off on cool nights, an outdoor grill, and an enclosed outdoor 'shower room'. Bower is approximately 400 feet from the waterfront. Swing in the hammock hanging between two trees just outside, or just sit on the porch and take in the beauty of the natural setting, with wild flowers, trees, trails, and pristine Wild Goose Pond.
Please note, no smoking and no pets.
