For 2016, the 7J Ranch welcomes you and your family to the upper suite of our home. The 7J Ranch is a 3800 square foot, two story home situated on 1.6 acres of enclosed property. It is nestled in the foothills of Mingus Mountain, and our 60-ft deck overlooks Sedona’s Red Rocks. You can watch as they change in the sunlight through the day, from a dusky red in the morning to almost purple at sundown.
At 2200 square feet, The upper suite of our home has the space to accommodate a small gathering of family and friends. Our master bedroom features a king size, pillow-top bed and in-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi. Our guest bedroom features a queen-size bed with accompanying bathroom. Our living room and office both contain sleeper couches as well. Our fully-equipped kitchen can handle the most bountiful spreads, and we have indoor and outdoor dining areas. There is ample seating and bedding for all to lounge and re-energize. All will enjoy the beautiful Arizona night sky in the private spa and pool—especially after lighting a fire in our outdoor pueblo fireplace.

Our party of three were very comfortable in the 2BR/2BA upstairs area of this home. The kitchen was well equipped, and I like that they keep some things left behind by previous renters, paper products, spices, etc. Plenty of outdoor space, top deck areas and ground level sitting areas give you lots of choices. We used the pool and spa as well as the fire chimney. The master BR had a very comfortable plush mattress, however the guest in the spare room complained about the plastic cover on the mattress, not comfortable. Perhaps it was put on due to small children occupying prior to our stay? The instructions to turn on the spa say to use the "Maintenance Key" to open the garage. We found some unmarked keys in the little "den" but they all fit the front door. Finally, we just tried to use the front door key, and it worked! I think they need to change the instructions to let you know the same key that opens the front door, also opens that garage. Once inside, the control panel was very easy to figure out. They ask you to separate the recycle able trash from regular trash, which we do at home anyway, however there is no separate receptacle, so we used a laundry basket. We did love the full house intercom radio. By the way, if the living room TV doesn't work, make sure the previous tenant didn't use the DVD player and plug the 3 prong white/red/yellow connector from the dish box to the DVD player. We called DISH and they were able to walk us through steps to resolve it. The master bath could use a small trash container in the toilet area, which could also be used by the person using the sink just a step away. The only waste basket is by the shower, across the room. I know, some think this is petty, but women have things to discard at the toilet! Also, the washing machine requires HE detergent, I had brought along some soap packets, but I don't have an HE machine. Luckily, someone had left some behind for me to use. Owner should make note of this as using regular detergent can have ill results. The dishwasher was full of clean dishes from the last tenant. I propose that you have your cleaning crew be sure the dishwasher is empty, or they will have all dirty items from a 5 day tenant in the sink. I give this home 4 stars, for these reasons. I hope my comments are helpful, especially to the owners. We enjoyed our stay here, loved that it was quiet and private without being totally secluded. It is 20 min drive to Jerome or Sedona.
We had a great time staying at this very quiet and relaxing home in Cottonwood! Everything was better than expected!
Beautiful and clean. Expansive modern space with a cook's 5 burner gas stove in the open concept kitchen, large laundry room and comfortable king size bed in the spacious master. The Elvis room is a bit odd but the bed was fine.
Located in a suburban neighborhood, not a working ranch. I was disappointed not to see animals and rancheros, however the view from the big balcony made up for it... impressive, sunrise was spectacular!
Easy drive into Sedona, and up to slide rock park...we also visited Jerome, all decked out for Halloween and had lunch at the Asylum.. fun!
We did not use the pool as it was cool when we were there but it looked very nice.
Would have given 5 stars if there had been a few more kitchen supplies...paper towels and basic condiments/spices and a few more dishtowels.
There was salt and pepper and dish soap etc.
I was worried about bugs after reading a previous review... I am not fond of creepy crawly things... but there were none. And the most ferocious thing I saw outside was a bunny rabbit...
This is a lovely and very spacious property in a perfect location. Jerome and Sedona are just a few miles a way. The property is absolutely lovely and the view is amazing. Excellent value. Joe was very responsive and provided excellent customer service. We will definitely return in the future!
The pictures on line do not do the property justice. The home was very spacious and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and the kids loved the pool. It was a short drive to Sedona for hiking and other activities. We had a great time!
Our stay at this property was wonderful. It is beautiful, spacious, well supplied, and we enjoyed every minute of it. It is in a quiet area and we loved the covered porch for dinners, the beautiful view, and after a great day of hiking in the beautiful Sedona area, we were able to come "home", relax, and look at the stars while relaxing in the spa, preparing our tired muscles for the next day. The reservation process was easy and the owner's directions took us right to the house. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone coming to the area. It was a short, beautiful drive to Sedona and well worth it. Thanks, Joe!
