Casa Castelli on Pacific Mexicos Mismaloya coast represents a symphony of art, nature and architecture. The organic lines and curves that are emblematic of Alberto Alvarezs architecture are beautifully complemented by the materials that give this residence a romantic touch reminiscent of the regal villas of Tuscany. A style unique to coastal Mexico blends with an old world essence at this luxury getaway.
The grounds at Casa Castelli include a barbecue and several secluded niches for enjoying the outdoors. The view over the cleverly designed infinity edge pool seems to glow from the blending of stone and tile. The game room offers a huge TV, foosball table and other diversions, while the couches convert into beds for a few extra guests. Exit from this room to a set of stairs that descends from the home through a picturesque path to the water. Soon you will have warm sand beneath your feet, ocean waves in your sights and maybe even a tropical drink in your hand. Your reservation includes housekeeping and a chef service.
Marble, iron and stone evoke the old world charm of Italy mixed with the laid back personality of the Mismaloya coast. The kitchen is fit for a gourmet and one of the most social rooms in the house. Large sliding frosted-glass doors open onto the enormous dining area. The views from your dining table over the Tuscany inspired marble to the beach and ocean below is breathtaking.
The open and artfully designed master bedrooms and bathrooms allow natural light to cascade through the floor-to-ceiling windows, balconies and sliding glass walls. The designers took that light into account when they chose the soft custom finishes to complement the views of the water, foliage and sky. The amazing free standingjetted tubs soothe guests with aromatherapy, light therapy and water jets that massage the entire body while you take in the view.
Nearby downtown Puerto Vallarta provides a taste of old Mexico with its cobblestone streets, beloved cathedrals and quaint white-washed houses. The city also offers a wide array of restaurants, shops and a fantastic nightlife. The bay area supplies ample recreation activities including hiking, mountain biking, scuba diving, snorkeling, deep-sea fishing, tennis and golf. Your dream villa awaits!

Wonderful experience, beautiful house and amazing staff
The villa was the perfect size for 12 people with a great pool and shared living space. The staff (Salvador, Maria and Belen) were really accommodating and truly brought our experience to the next level. The food was great and we always had everything that we possibly needed on vacation. They always made sure we had our days planned out with delicious meals and plans for the evening, and when we had to arrange other things out of the villa such as cabs to downtown and other excursions, Salvador made sure everything was taken care of. The villa was always kept clean and beautiful.
Kayla, our Villa Specialist, was also very easy to communicate and was really accommodating. She made the process very easy for me to deal with and was really helpful in figuring out which villa would be the best fit for our group.
Casa Catelli, is a lovely villa. We did yoga every morning by the pool. It was great to have the living room right and tv right by the pool. We set up our yoga music to the surround sound of the whole house. Manuel, Salvador, and the kitchen staff were awesome, helpful and on top of it. When we got there, there was a miss communication about dinner. The house manager of Casa Castelli Teresa was not helpful, in fact she had way too much attitude (zero customer service), thank goodness for Luxury Retreats' 24 hour concierge service, so I could speak to luxury.
The house is on the hill overlooking Mismaloya Beach which offers a whole different Puerto Vallarta. If you want the Mexico of 50 years ago you walk 5 minutes down the hill and tour a Tequila distillery, have incredible pancakes at Tio's on the beach, or jump in a water taxi for a refreshing ride to anything you want in Puerto Vallarta!
Perfect location for our 3 couples wanting to chill at an amazing pool and house, have some great meals at home, and get a little taste of quiet old Mexico. 5 Stars from all of us on the amazing Sergio's (a wonderful and fun house attendant) margarita recipe. We are Texans so we all make good Margaritas but Sergio's were in a class all its own.
