Perfect location, the beach is awesome!

Only issue was the kitchen breaker, after it tripped we reset it and only a couple of the lights came back on so the downstairs bathroom was dark but we made do!! Had a blast would definitely rent with John again!

Location is ideal! close to private beach 5 minutes. Gosmans dock walking distance. I can tell the house has been upgraded and with new appliances. Crows nest water view lookout is amazing for watching sunset. I found the backyard to be larger then most of the houses I've been. The owner is very responsive with questions and go out his way to make sure everything is good for you! Definitely going back this summer!

Partly Renovated

2nd floor master bedroom and bath were new but the remainder of the house still needed some work. The first floor bath, kitchen, living room and bedrooms may have been updated somewhat but were not completely renovated. Floors need replacement. We experienced similar issues noted by prior guests with respect to sheets and towels being worn and stained. The back yard patio was crowded with old furniture, bicycles and other random items so we really could not use it. A window and sky light were open when we arrived (not sure who left it that way) and the house did have a musty odor and possibly cigarette odor as well. I know from experience how difficult it is to operate short term rentals and guest experience can vary greatly depending on how maintenance providers perform and maintain the property. The house worked for our Triathlon weekend but as others have noted more picky guests may not be satisfied.

Owner's Response: Went out my way for this renter.I EVEN LET HIM BRING A DOG. ALSO reduced price quite a bit$. home is closed all week during OFF SEASON . WHEN HEATER PUT ON FIRST TIME IT GIVE OFF A SLIGHT SMELL . AS FAR AS ITEMS IN BACK YARD RENOVATION WAS AND STILL IS UNDER WAY .WE STOP TO ALLOW THIS RENTER TO ENJOY HIS MARATHON RUN, THREW MONTAUK. FLOORS ARE BEING REPLACED IN SPRING. ALL NEW SHEETS AND PILLOWS AND SHADES. ARE REPLACE EACH SPRING.THERE YOU GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The house was great. Plenty of space and a big backyard.

Went with a few friends for a golfing/sharkfishing weekend. Three was plenty of room for 5 grown men. The house was in decent shape and pretty much as described in the listing. John was responsive to any questions we had. The beach was a 2 minute walk down the block and we had a fire on the beach for both night we were there. Thanks John!
