About Coyote Casitas , Sally McNeil-Blimling

Purchased the property 13 years ago as a second home. There was a separate

large garage. Recently, we have built a new garage with a large casita behind our

house. This is zoned commercial and will be a short-term rental as it is located

within Kayenta Art Village. My husband is an architect and I have been a real estate

Why Coyote Casitas , Sally McNeil-Blimling chose Utah

broker for over 20 years in two other states. This property was so enchanting with the serene desert and red mountains, it appealed to all of our needs for a second home. The Santa Fe design of the houses was also utmost in our decision, having close ties with New Mexico in the past. Since, my son has come to live with us from

back east, it made for a perfect fit. He could manage it while we traveled occasionally . It is a lovely piece of property near national parks and in an almost

exclusive adult community. There is much to do and many cultural events.

A theatre is in the process of construction within the village and walking distance from the casita. The gourmet coffee shop offers delicious food and is also open on the weekends for evening meals. The community has many people from all over the country who have either retired in this area or have a second home. It is because the area offers so many nearby parks, sports events, cultural events and just everyday sightseeing. The mountains of red rock "kayenta" are a view that never grows tiresome and one of enlightenment on a daily basis. Come see for yourself and you will know why we chose this spot. Pictures cannot describe the beauty nor the feeling of serenity.

What makes this cottage unique

Since photos, do not do the area justice, you must SEE this location to believe. As the owner, I feel confident that you will be pleased with our casita.

Guestbook comments from the manager

She was our first guest and was even here during landscaping and other

small construction details. She does not use a computer but told me to post this;

My dog and I (Nelly, the pug) loved it so much that I seriously asked the owners to

purchase from them. Of course, their answer was NO! It was a lovely quiet,

place in Kayenta in Utah which is such a wonderful place that my mother and I

will be returning.

The casita was really great and the weather was grand. I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a quiet getaway or vacation. Southern utah is a wonderful colorful place any time of the year. We look forward to returning.

Comfortable and quiet

The casita is located in the "Art Village" of Kayenta - basically, the village center. Nevertheless, it feels removed from the activity nearby. The view from the back windows is spectacular, and the patio is a great place to relax and enjoy it. The casita is well appointed and well maintained.

Absolutely the best vacation place on earth. Everything you need is provided in a gorgeous Casita.

  • 5 of 5

"Heaven on earth" does exist in Kayenta. Staying at the Coyote Casita was the first time we used VRBO. The photo's and description were under rated, it's so much more once you arrive and very private. Sally, Patrick and Sam are great hosts, who have become friends. Everything you need is there, with views that are breath taking and so peaceful. Highly recommend staying a week or month, a experience that could change your life, you'll love it.

We had a wonderful stay! The Casita was very quiet and comfortable [AND CLEAN!] and the views were spectacular. If want great hiking [many GREAT hikes within a 10 minute drive] and a relaxing place to get away and re-energize, we couldn't recommend this place any higher!

Wonderful place and very serene. Beautiful walk around the neighborhood and the restaurant right across the street was excellent. It was awesome to wake up in the morning and see the red cliffs at sunrise. Great location to get to the National Parks and come back and relax in a very quite area. Great host. Needed a little cleaning when we got there but overall would definitely come back.

Kayenta Jewel

  • 4 of 5

Our week in the Coyote Casita was more than serene; it was spiritual. The focus on the environment, the arts and galleries, the Red Cliffs, the Desert Rose Labyrinth, the café only steps away all combined for a total immersion experience of wonder. As an outdoor couple, we relished all that Kayenta had to offer. The casita is beautifully designed with high end finishes and the pictures and descriptions are accurate. The property manager was responsive and in close proximity for any questions or needs.

Why not a 5-Star Review? Because, although the unit is fitted with high-end appliances and finishes and decorative details, it was not 5-Star clean. After speaking with the owner we are confident the situation will be improved for future renters. In addition, the cupboards lack basic items one would expect in a VRBO rental with a 'full kitchen' such as salt/pepper, Kleenex tissues, covered storage bowls, some cooking utensils. That said, the welcome binder was complete, the entertainment center had a plethora of channels and the brochures and maps were very helpful.

We would not hesitate to recommend the Coyote Casita to others and are confident that with a few changes and attention to details, this would be a 5 Star rental property in our book.

This locality has much to offer; there will be brochures about

the current activities depending on what date you travel to "coyote

casita." The local coffee shop which is just down the hill; will

also have all the info. The art village which is the location of the

casita has several festivals throughout the year. Spring and fall

seem to be the most popular for events. Check out the St. George, UT events of the year. There are many and are listed on internet.
