Location, Location, Location. The Woodley park neighborhood is one the most sought after locations for its upscale houses, beautiful streets and its convenience. You really do not need a car to get around from here since the metro and the bus are about a half a block away. You can walk to the DuPont Circle, Downtown, the White House and the Mall. The Zoo is of course a block away. There are plenty of restaurants around the corner from the house where you can taste some of the best foods DC has to offer. The Hot and Juicy a shrimp and Craw-fish restaurant which is open late, the Lebanese Taverna, Le Pettit Plat a french restaurant, Pizze, an Italian Pizzeria, Dunkin Donuts, McDonald's, an Indian cuisine, an Afghan Kabab restaurant around the corner on Calvert and a Chipotle just to name a few. There is also a convenient grocery store 'Manhattan Market' as well as a CVS pharmacy within a block from here.
This is a fully renovated 5 bedroom house. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 with Queen and one with King beds, a daybed with 2 twin mattresses, and two bathrooms upstairs. One of the bathrooms has a tub, the other a standing shower which is a En-Suite to one of the rooms.
The first floor is where the living room, dining room and the kitchen are, plus a half bath in one location and a shower in another. The shower and the half baths are separate. There is a 2 car parking in the back on that level (There is a charge for parking).

The redhead next to me is my wife Ana.
We have 2 daughters who are grown and are on their own ( not really, if you are a parent you know) and a 14 pound Schnoodle ( he thinks he is a giant). We have been living in the DC metro area for about 36 years and absolutely love it. Washington DC is a beautiful city, it really is and for people coming here to spend their vacations or attend conferences, weddings, funerals (The Arlington Cemetery), graduations, sight seeing, festivals etc. etc. there isn't any city that offers so much.
I manage the properties and Ana tells me what to do (!!!) We are a great team and enjoy doing what we do.
Allen purchased this apartment in 2012
This apartment is practically brand new. We gutted it out and redid the whole thing in 2012.
Walking to The convention Center and a bit further to the White House and the museums and all the memorials and the Mall.
We had 7 in our group and the House was very comfortable after a day in the city. Perfect distance to restaurants, fast food, store and Metro Station.
Such a great experience. Seamless check in and out. Very responsive host. Excellent amenities. We enjoyed our stay. Highly recomnend for large groups.
Convenient walk to the zoo, a small market, CVS, a Metro station and several small restaurants. Parking was an issue, but that is life in the big city.
Easy access to everything. Nice home with everything we needed for our party of 12. Would highly recommend.
The property was perfect. The location is one block from the Metro and that made traveling around a breeze. The property was as advertised but
the downstairs bathroom was not clean when we arrived but we made it work. This is very near to some small restaurants but being so close to the Metro you are really just a stop or two away from some of the best Restaurants in Washington DC. If you like the Zoo it is 4 blocks away. We had one minor problem with the plumbing but Allen took care of it that same day at no additional charge to us. I would stay here again if I had a large group heading to Washington DC.
We are a party of 9 older adults who just stayed for six nights. The metro was within easy walking distance as well as multiple restaurants and a small market. The property manager is very professional and responds quickly to emails or texts. The only reason for 4 stars is the beds are a little firm and the wood floors squeak, which was disturbing to our light sleepers. I would stay here again as it has a real homey feeling which is relaxing after a long day. Only one TV, which is in the living room. This may be a consideration for families with kids.
