Quiet Country attached Townhome -- Just Outside of Rexburg

Bedrooms 2
Space 1,300 sq ft
Property type condo
Minimum Stay 2 - 3 nights

About the property

Incredible views and 4 minutes to Rexburg. You will love this cozy place.

Why pay more for less room and fewer amenities than our 1300 s/f townhouse. You will feel more at home than any other vacation place!

Our Two-Story is waiting to meet your all vacation needs. Whether you are coming to bring your student to school, graduation, a wedding; or to take in Idaho's scenic splendor, our place is the perfect location. We are just outside of Rexburg- - 3 miles north of BYUI, 79 miles south of Yellowstone, 77 miles west of Jackson Hole or just one hour to Grand Targhee Ski Resort. You are also within minutes of pristine fishing along the Teton River, Warm River or Snake River (My wife, Neva can send you to best places to go) :)

This is an attached newly renovated, 2 1/2 bedrooms, 2 bath condo that can sleep 7. We have totally redone the inside of this part of our beautiful farm home that was originally built by the grandfather of my wife, Neva. (It has turned out so nicely, I think he would be very pleased with the result, just like I am sure you will too.)

It has a full kitchen with granite counters. We have service for 8 and all the basic amenities you need if you would like to cook for yourself while you are here. The living area (and Master bedroom) has views looking out toward the Grand Teton mountain range, and has a comfortable seating with a large screen TV with both DirecTV and a DVD player.

The leather couch in the living room and recliner chair sets around a large stone fireplace. A relaxing gathering and eating area.

There is new tile floors and showers in both bathrooms. The master bedroom has a King bed with a brand new pillowtop mattress and 42" TV connected to DirecTv along with a DVD player. The second bedroom has two full beds, and a twin bed in the bonus room. It has a TV and a DVD player.

Wireless internet is included. Plenty of outside parking for trailers and/or RV's. We have a large selection of DVD's in the red cabinet in the hallway just outside the back door. A front loading washer and dryer are for your use as well.

Finally, we have new down pillows throughout the house for your restful sleep.

Reply through this website or call/text Scott at 801.358.8553 for more information. We pride ourselves of having the best value in the southeast Idaho.

* Note: Both bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs. There is no elevator and is NOT recommended for older people who may struggle with stairs.

Finally, on our small farm you will get to see our free-roaming chickens that give us fresh eggs daily that we would love to let you try! (If you have young kids they will enjoy chasing and catching them if they can. You will also see our pet ducks and Turkey named Blue. If you look hard you will even see a bunny or two. We have a large new playground set and firepit outside for your use.

We hope to see you soon.

About Scott Telford

Neva and I (Scott) were raised here in this area, We graduated together in Rexburg and were just friends back in high school. (She dated most all of my locker partners). We were blessed to become reacquainted at our class reunion and were married just 5 years ago.I lived up on the hill near the temple, and Neva grew up on this old farm. She had horses, and had to milk and feed cows along with other farm chores everyday.

After her parents passed away, we decided to buy this home and have renovated the whole thing right down to the studs. And made part of it a vacation rental because we loved the idea of inviting guests to this pretty part of Idaho, and also to have when our kids come to visit.

We are so very happy to be back here in Southeast Idaho ourselves! We have so many amazing sites to see, and fun things to do within minutes anytime of the year.

Scott Telford purchased this condo in 2014

Why Scott Telford chose Sugar City

We feel we have the BEST value in the area. With so much to offer at a VERY fair price. When we travel ourselves we only use vacation rentals as well. We have tried to integrate all of the great ideas we have seen and experienced and put them into our place. We want people to feel at home and have made it a place we would want to be in ourselves. We hope you love it as we do.

Being just 3 miles out of town we have a true farm feel with chickens and bunnies, and the quietness of the country, yet so very close to all the amenities of Rexburg. (We are just a mile from the new Super Walmart.)

What makes this condo unique

Our place is VERY family friendly. In the spring we have bunnies and chickens for the kids to chase and catch if they want. We have an open fire pit nearby with all of the firewood you need and fold out chairs for you to use.

You are welcome to use our bicycles, sleds and tubes no matter what time of year.

You will enjoy our small farm with our bunnies and chickens, and quiet open space. We have great recommendations on things to do and see while here. We are within an hour of some of the most incredible scenery and outdoor adventures. First, we would recommend you visit Yellowstone if you have never been. Even if you you only have one full day drive to Old Faithful, and maybe at least a few other stops in the park. You will love it! If you don't see bears or other animals in Yellowstone, we strongly recommend going to Bear World just 10 minutes south of us. You will be getting up close to the bears as well as buffalo, elk and more. They even have a petting zoo and free kid rides Say "Hi" to Mike, Courtney and Stephanie (from Scott). They are great hosts and love to visit with their guests. We have more ideas if you want-where to eat, or specific things you need in the area. We know Rexburg and the area well, and want to meet your requests! Scott and Neva PS. NOT A.D.A for handicapped

Great Country Living

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have been more happy with this rental. We planned on having all of our children with us during the Thanksgiving holiday and it worked out great. When we arrived it didn't look like much, but the inside was beautiful. It is a very updated place and they even thought of the details. They had decorated for the holidays which made it was extra special. The beds were very comfortable and the bath rooms were very updated and nice. It snowed while we were there and they shoveled off the walks for us. it is 3 min from Rexburg, ID and only 1.5 hours from Jackson Hole, WY. Only 45 min from the Grand Tetons. I would stay there again. Thank you for a great trip.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and I can't say enough good things about it. It has everything you need complete with great views and a little taste of farm life. The owners live on the property and are very warm and welcoming if you need anything. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stays at this charming little home.

Not worth the cost... and we had to clean PLUS got charged a cleaning fee.

  • 2 of 5

The property was lovely, with lots of animals running around (chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits, cats, etc.). However, here are a few things that weren't great about our stay...

-There is a common wall shared with the owner. They have a noise "ordinance" but don't seem to follow it themselves as we experienced noise as early as 6:00 AM on Friday. Not ideal on our vacation!

-Owners charge a cleaning fee which seemed a bit high but when coupled with the fact that they provide two pages of cleaning instructions and how much you will be charged for each item if you don't comply it is outrageous. We had to strip our own beds and put the sheets into a hamper, leave all towels on the floor in a pile, take all our trash out and put it in a dumpster, were instructed where cleaning supplies were. I'm not really very clear what the cleaning fee is for since we had to do it ourselves. This should have been disclosed. We wasted valuable time on our trip cleaning up. When you consider that the nightly fee PLUS cleaning fee PLUS tax PLUS VRBO fee, I would have just stayed in a hotel had I known.

-Owners provide a coffee maker but no coffee, and Keurig pods but no Keurig machine. They were gracious enough to go get us some coffee and drop it off to us when I asked them where to find some but still... not great. There wasn't even any powdered creamer provided. Again, they made it right by running and grabbing coffee, but it would have been better to have found the coffee there waiting for us to use when we were wanting it.

-This is a shoe-free property... something they might want to mention on the ad as well.
