I've stayed here multiple times and it's always been enjoyable. Golf is close and very comfortable sleeping for 6 people.
You won't regret your stay here
Our family came for our sons graduation. This house was perfect, as previous people have said Barbara has gone above and beyond! Coffee, wine and plenty of room. We had several family members meeting us there, it gave us a place to be together, unlike a hotel room we could just all be in pjs and drink coffee. Thanks again
We had some initial reservations around the distance that this house was from the family we were there to visit, and the bridge being out added a detour that put on another 10+ minutes! However, it ended up feeling like the perfect refuge for my family and I to come back "home," curl up by the fire and decompress. We had a family crisis that called us down to Louisiana in the first place, and this home offered us the sanctuary we needed to process everything. It's beautiful inside, the owner has great taste in the decor and she was thoughtfulness itself with a fully stocked kitchen and all the staples. In addition to the commonly used items like laundry detergent, coffee, etc. she even stocked the fridge with juice for my kids and 2 bottles of wine for us. The beds are really comfortable, it made me want to replace my own back home! and my kids absolutely loved the trundle bed and the chance to share a room together. We took a few walks in the neighborhood and enjoyed the unseasonably warm weather (no complaints from this crew, we'd left behind 5 degrees F in MN!) and all in all really loved the peace and quiet of the setting. Thank you Barbara for all of the little things you did to make our stay enjoyable!
We stayed at this property over the week that includes the 2015 Christmas Holiday and were very pleased with the property and the high-level of customer service we received. There was a Christmas Tree set-up in the house and some decorations out front which really made the holiday complete for us. There was no shortage of dishes, utensils, or linens. The house was very warm, comfortable, accommodating, and made us feel like we were at-home for the week we stayed there.
The description of the property was accurate and it was a very nice home-base location for us as we spent time with relatives that live in the area. While in the area we spent most of our time in Bossier City and Shreveport. The Bodacious BBQ, Fully Stacked, and the Cafe at Sams Town should not be missed if you are looking for comfort foods, definitely not low calorie but good eating.
This property absolutely delivered for us. My son and I were in Bossier City to compete in the Rocky Mount Stage Race (3 day bicycle stage race. Think Lance Armstrong. Without the drugs), and we couldn't have been served better. Tranquil setting, ample driveway space for handling gear and parking, King and Queen sized beds, separate bathrooms, VERY well stocked kitchen (pots, pans, SHARP knives, plenty of plates, great appliances). Cable, internet, great decor - all the comforts and conveniences of home.
We look forward to visiting again!
