Beautiful relaxing sunsets. Coffee maker, toaster, microwave, crock pot, stove and fridge.

It has a Phone# 304 434-2172. Whole area of state is great. Seneca Rocks and Front Porch rest. must sees.

I guess I opened Vetlands for 2016 in mid May. Expected snow in mornings due to weather reports, no snow. Flag shredded from winter winds/replaced. Bought 2 mouse traps, got one mouse. Take a radio. No TV, Internet or AT&T cell phone. Milk and eggs from last October in upstairs fridge. Hope someone else visits soon; I left well and water heater breakers on. Us mil types need an exit checklist! <G> Get current gate code just before trip.

Owner's Response: Thank you for pointing out that someone had left food at the cabin. For all members, it is very important that you leave absolutely nothing at the cabin that is food related. Not even salt or pepper! Food items will attract bugs, mice, and bears, and they will do a lot of damage. I request that if anyone finds food left at the cabin when they arrive, please notify me, and discard it, and take it along with all your garbage and trash away when you leave. By this procedure, I will know that the cabin should have no food items left in it after each stay. So if someone finds food left behind, then I am going to assume it was the member who stayed there just before, who left the food items, and I will refuse to book future reservations for that member. I am sorry to have to be so strict about this but I have found it is very hard to get people to stop leaving food behind. Colie ODonnell, Vetlands, Inc.

Totally relaxing and peaceful

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is in a perfect location to enjoy a great sweeping view of the mountains. A fantastic place to just think and talk while escaping anything that induces stress. I liken the experience to camping in an RV; everything you need to enjoy the outdoors minus cell coverage (at least Verizon), TV, and internet. We did bring an FM radio which was perfect. The cabin has just about everything necessary to enjoy a stay but I agree with what they recommend doing with doing a short stay prior to a long term stay. That way not only do you ensure you bring what you need, though it's only a 30 minute drive to the grocery, but you're also sure you can live without TV, internet etc. Overall a great experience to come down from everyday stress.
