Beautifully remodeled 2 bedroom condo , fully stocked and updated kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, spectacular views of the lake from the living room and master bedroom. Large deck with lake bank access, washer/ dryer, swimming pool (seasonal). Located at the back of a quiet complex, perfect location for exploring central Connecticut, 2 hours from NYC and RI.
My husband and I reside in Las Cruces, NM and recently bought this condo to have a place close to our son and his family who live in the Hartford area. Unfortunately, because of work and other obligations, we can't be there full time, so we want to share this wonderful home with others during the times we are not there.

We have fallen in love with New England! There is so much to see and do within a short distance and on day trips. Take the train to New York City (from New Haven or Waterbury) drive to New Hampshire or Vermont to see the fall colors, head to Boston for a baseball game or Sam Adams Brewery tour. See the Connecticut or Rhode Island shoreline (45-60 minutes). Visit Mystic, CT and explore the shipping museum. Closer to home, visit the Mark Twain House, take a boat tour of the Thimble Islands, spend the day at Lake Compounce Amusement Park.
The deck offers a beautiful view of the lake, sit out with a glass of wine and enjoy the peace and quiet. The condo complex has a pool for use during the summer, fish off the lake bank (the lake is stocked with trout), hike along the Farmington river, walk to Wood-n-Tap, a local restaurant/bar for happy hour (outside overlooking the lake) or a yummy dinner.
This Condo is exactly as described. The view of the lake was spectacular. The fishing was great. The owner was very nice and responded immediately. My family lives in Bristol and I will definitely be booking this condo again in the future if available. Thank you!
We were visiting our kids in CT for four weeks and this was a perfect place for us to stay. It is a very comfortable home away from home. Loved being able to cook in the efficient kitchen. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. One minor problem was taken care of quickly. Questions were answered quickly. Very quiet. Loved the view and enjoyed seeing and hearing geese on the lake. We plan to visit again and did recommend it to another young mother who had family a long distance away.
The description was accurate. The property was clean and well maintained, except the driveway into the condo complex is very bumpy. Response to our questions and one needed repair to the kitchen faucet were great. The Wood-N-Tap restaurant is cozy and in easy walking distance. It's always busy, so they must be doing something right!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Farmington at the Greenbriar condo. The condo is lovely- nicely decorated and well-appointed. The view of the lake is amazing and the patio was a great place to enjoy the view also. We felt so comfortable and at home during our stay. The condo is convenient to everything and there are many great places to visit and eat close by. The quietness and serenity that surrounds this condo made for a wonderful vacation.

I rented this unit for a family wedding weekend in the area and was so glad that I chose this over the Marriott or the Farmington Inn. The complex itself leaves much to be desired (general disrepair and shabbiness of the driveway and structures was a bit grim), but I still think this is a five-star property because the location of the unit is actually quite private, and it's easy to forget about all of that. In fact, you could be in Maine for the view of the lake and pine trees.
The pool was closed during our visit so we weren't able to assess that element. There also appears to be some kind of summer camp across the lake which was empty because it was off-season. Because of the trees, you can't see it from the unit.
For me personally, I'm not sure that this unit is worth a visit on its own, mostly because Hartford/Farmington aren't my ideas of vacation destinations, but it was absolutely perfect for our needs and the owner could not have been easier to work with. I would definitely stay here again next time family business brings us to Farmington.
Clean, bright, nice view. Everything taken care of efficiently and pleasantly. No issues and all requests handled right away. Pool was nice. Complex driveway had many potholes and needs to be fixed. Hillstead Museum great activity. Tennis, golf, fishing, boating nearby.
Well-furnished, clean, attractive condo with second-floor deck overlooking a small, quiet lake. Close to decent restaurants and many miles of hiking and biking trails. We'll return unless all these good reviews making booking impossible! Though the complex is aging (very potholed driving surfaces) and there are many families with children about, it is very quiet at night. Nice pool. Very nice owner. Stay away so we can come back.
