Brockington Hall Inn Suite is a cozy little suite (459 sq. ft.) in Savannah’s Historic District. Situated on a quiet tree-lined, brick-paved street of beautiful residences, we are within a block and a half from Forsyth Park and of the Mansion on Forsyth Park. We are also within walking distance (for spry people!) of most of Savannah’s famous sites. We provide one off-street parking space and parking is not metered in our area.

Cancellation policy is that upon notice of cancellation THROUGH VRBO (and therefore in writing), owners will immediately seek to re-rent the property. If property is re-rented, any loss to owner will be offset against deposit along with $50.00 fee. Transfer of deposit to other available dates may be allowed.

Please note: We operate a wedding venue on the floor above this suite so there is a possibility that there will be noise in this suite until 10:00 pm or so, especially on weekends. If that would be a problem for you, you may wish to consider our other property at the same address, the Cottage, VRBO # 403378.

Located about 25 blocks from the center of the City, and redone in 2011, the Inn offers a living room, bedroom, and eat-in kitchen for small meals, with a private entrance.

The Inn Suite is located in a tastefully-renovated 16th Century Classic Italianate villa-style mansion built in 1882 which houses an event venue and private apartments as well. The informality of the Inn Suite’s design and furnishings and its modest rental rate make it especially suited to the young at heart who wish to enjoy the grandeur of Savannah itself without staying in a formal space. A full kitchen with facilities for light cooking is provided, and you can bring home your treats from Savannah’s many fine restaurants for later snacks. You can cook your own breakfast or have breakfast nearby in the Cafe at Forsyth Park, which has Starbucks coffee. A Kroger grocery store is a block away down the lane, and Johnny Ganem's wine and liquor store is three blocks away. The Inn suite is approximately 459 square feet.

A Tassimo coffee-maker is provided, with coffee, tea, sugars, Splenda, and creamer.

In addition to the private entrance, the Inn Suite has wireless Internet access, cable TV service via two flat-screen TVs, and its own security system. You will have free use of Brockington Hall’s shared laundry facility, off-street parking for one vehicle, and maid service at a reasonable frequency after a two-night’s stay, if requested.

The Inn Suite is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is allowed outside the building. There is a small, unadorned, concrete-pad, fenced area with seating where you can smoke.

One off-street parking space is provided. Parking spaces are small. If you have a large vehicle, you may need to park in unmetered, on-street parking, and to be mindful of street sweeping signs.

A two night minimum stay is required, but we'd love for you to be our guests for an extended stay as well.

We do ask that you let us know your anticipated time of arrival so that we can plan our days (and nights).

About Lee Mundell

The Inn was opened in 2011 by Lee and Melissa Mundells -- lawyers by occupation -- in a building inherited from Lee's parents. United States Air Force Retired Lieutenant General Lewis Mundell and his wife Elsie lived in the house for 20+ years. The house has been featured in tours hosted by Historic Savannah Foundation and by the city's Downtown Neighborhood Association. Lee has served as President of both of these organizations, and we are committed to preservation of Savannah's unique characteristics.

Why Lee Mundell chose Historic District - South

Lee and Melissa have lived in Savannah since 1977, when Brockington Hall was operated as an event venue. The senior Mundells purchased the building as their private residence in 1981, with some rental apartments on floors other than their residence on the parlor floor.

The suite was a modest apartment built in the 1960's in an addition to the main building.

What makes this apartment unique

When you stay in the Inn you will be staying in the country's largest historic district, on one of Savannah's loveliest streets with easy access to the City's wealth of architecture, museums, shopping, and history. Situated at the south end of the Historic District, we are approximately a mile from River Street, the north border of the roughly one square mile district. We are a block from a bus tour stop at Forsyth Park where you can board a free shuttle or paid tour, a block from a grocery store, and four blocks from a liquor store (if that matters).

Amazing location, beautiful little apartment, perfect landing pad comes with everything you need!

We absolutely loved this property, right near a beautiful park, everything is walkable depending on how active you want to be, and if not, free bus comes by every 20 minutes. Lee and his wife were absolutely wonderful and lovely, would 100% recommend this property to anyone! Thank you so much for hosting us!

Great location and great price

Was in town for the Savannah Marathon so this location was perfect (right by the park where the finish line is located). Lee was amazing to work with and he did everything possible to make sure the trip was fantastic. Parking off street is a nice plus for the area as well. You can't beat the price for Savannah!

The location was perfect so we didn't have to drive at all after arriving. The Dot free shuttle service stop was a short walk away and we were able too see and do everything with the shuttle route. The place was clean and had plenty of space for two people!

Sightseeing and shopping in Savannah's Historic and Victorian Districts,with its many museums and landmarks, available by moderate walks or short walk to shuttle. We are one block from Forsyth Park, and your ground-floor suite has a private entrance. Your kitchen lets you bring home treats from Savannah's fine restaurants, and there is a grocery store a block away and a wine and liquor store three blocks away. Your suite is one block from Savannah's famous Forsyth Park, where concerts, festivals, and sporting events are frequently held. There you can catch our City's Shuttle, and a moderate walk (with or without shuttle) will take you to the bulk of Savannah's sightseeing spots and shopping in the Historic District. Also we are on the edge of Savannah's Victorian District, the first 'suburb' of the City, originally served by trolley, where you'll find our 'painted lady' houses, antiques stores, and other small businesses. A grocery store is one block away, with a wine and liquor store only three blocks away. The suite is small and we do not allow parties.
