Comfortable home on the lake

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in at this Lake house to attend wedding festivities for our daughter's best friend. It was perfect for the 4 of us and with in twenty to twenty five minutes to all the places we needed to go. It's located in a nice quiet neighborhood, the home was very clean and comfortable.

While there we got to enjoy the one sunny day we had taking the row boat out on the lake. How relaxing after a long week at work. We brought most of our food with us and took advantage of the grill on the back deck along with the deck chairs and Adirondack ones on the lawn. Too cold for going in the water but noticed a nice sandy area right off the dock for swimming. Plenty of room for hanging out and relaxing on the rainy cold days we had too.

If we ever need to stay in the area again I won't hesitate to book this home again. The owners were wonderful to communicate with also and did I mention the little touches of chocolates waiting for us upon arrival along with a few beers and wine in the frig all chilled. Thank you again.

Almost forgot on our last morning there my daughter and son in-law got to see a bald eagle soaring over the lake and the dock at the house. Amazing to see.

Quiet and comfortable

We,spent 4 days exploring the area. The leaves were just starting to turn. It is well stocked with a great lakeside location. Didn’t use the canoe but it would be great in the summer.

This was my first VRBO experience and the reason I will never stay in a hotel again. This property in particular is amazing. The owners supply everything you could possibly need and then some. I really wanted to stay longer and not go home. Who would want to leave ? You wake up to a beautiful lake and have daily visitors of ducks sunbathing on the rocks and they come by at sunset as well. This will be my go to vacation spot in CT any time I visit.
