Very affordably priced comfortable condo. Quiet atmosphere and living. Pool was very nice temperature and only 100' from patio. It was very clean. Only vices was kitchen cookware/utensils need to be updated to appropriate use (there is no large skillet, utensils are not of good quality and random) and some spices would be nice (salt/pepper/Italian seasoning for general cooking that obviously wouldn't go bad and would make prepping meals convenient). Owner made contact and was pleasant/easy to work with. Bottom line though is I would recommend this to another and will stay again.
We chose this apartment due to the location and close proximity to our friends. I spoke with the owner a few days before who advised that there would be a lock box available for key retrieval, however when we arrived it took us 10 mins and a couple of phone calls to the contacts to ascertain the keys weren't in any lock box, but somewhere totally different. So first impressions not great.
That said inside - the apartment is immaculately clean and had good quality (and plentiful) bedding and towels. I noticed that there wasn't a hair dryer available, though when I asked, one was offered to be dropped off, which I thought was a nice touch. I would say that the apartment seems quite dark - consistently needing to turn on the lights, but this is because the sun doesn't come in and there are some plants / bushes outside the windows.
Loved the fact you can back up and park the car literally outside. I followed the instructions on the booking inventory when leaving, though no instructions on what to do with the keys.
We liked the pool area, warm water and clean. Our 3 year old loved it.
Overall we will return, we had a great time, though better communication would be the only thing that could be improved.
This was a nice, clean and spacious three bedroom apartment. But it hasn't been looked after for awhile.
You are on your own in trying to track down information about how to get the key. You get a robo-email one week prior telling you that you need to call a number to arrange for this. I did so and the woman who answered seemed surprised. I was told the normal property manager was out of the country, and that the apartment was for sale. As a favor she would take they key out of the realtor lock box and put it under the mat.
When we arrived, it was clear that the place has not been cared for as a vrbo rental in a while. We arrived in 100° heat, three hours before a wedding reception, and the air conditioner was not on. Both thermostats had messages indicating new batteries were needed, and no batteries were to be found. The light bulbs were burnt out in the 2nd bedroom. There was no dish soap in the kitchen, no paper towels, and the coffee maker still had grounds in it from the last guest, by now dried out and growing mold.
So we rushed to the drugstore, bought batteries, got the thermostat on, and the AC was so weak coming out we weren't sure it was working. I called the owner to express my concerns, and she was sympathetic, but the reception by now was an hour away so we needed to get dressed.
My husband went to press his shirt and found only a tabletop ironing board and a broken iron that spat out dirty water and ruined his pants. We knocked on a few doors and were lucky enough to find a kind neighbor to lend us her iron and board so we could press our dresses.
The place finally was cool when we returned, and the rest of our stay comfortable. Linens and beds are nice. It was very clean. I doubt this will be a vrbo rental much longer though. As we left, a grumpy neighbor informed us that the condo complex rules are for 30 day minimum rental only.
The condo was really nice. Comfortable furniture, nice linens. Good location in Scottsdale. Nice pool.
The fridge had not been cleaned out after the last renters, and since we were there in off-season, it had been a while. The milk had exploded in the fridge, which was not a fun thing to arrive to, as we are trying to empty the cooler and get into bed after a long day of driving. Not sure if that's housekeeping's job or not.
We had a hard time getting information from the local contact. No response to emails and no information for check-out other than the automatic email from the company. Finally got him on the phone right before we left. It would have been nice to have a property-specific email though - like specific check-out procedures, where the key to the pool was, etc.
I'd stay here again, though. And I cleaned everything out of the fridge and open food containers in the cabinets for future renters :)
The property was in good condition and well maintained. The location was good and every place in Scottsdale easily accessible. The local contact and the owner were the nicest people and very caring and responsive. We went to attend a family event and our stay was extremely comfortable. On our future trips to Scottsdale, we will always stay there. I will rate our overall experience as excellent.
