Kids and/or extra guests can also use three provided floor futons or set up tents on the lawn, including accessible power outlets.

Come explore beautiful Hood Canal. We look forward to sharing our holiday home with you!
*Like most houses on the South Shore of Hood Canal our property sits just below E Hwy 106. There will be some traffic noise and care should be taken with children. Some netting is provided to pull across driveways to keep children from wandering up to the road.
*During very low tides the dock will sit on the ground and there will only be a couple feet of water along the outside edge. It is not suitable for deep-hulled or luxury boats.
*One night’s firewood will be provided. Bring your own or more can be arranged for purchase.
*A variety of adult and child size life jackets and wet suits are provided for your use.
This is a perfect cabin getaway. We enjoyed the beautiful Hood Canal water, the dock for our boat and the wonderful views from the Cabin's deck. Our three boys had such an amazing time tubing, skiing and playing and we had a great time relaxing. We were also impressed with the management person, Rob, as he was prompt and so helpful with our few requests. The location is really great - between Belfair and Union - so easy to get to either area.
Thanks again, I hope we can rent again.
The house was clean, had everything that we needed for our stay, and the layout is perfect. The living area had a pull out sofa and bathroom and a big wood door that could be pulled for privacy. The location was amazing and plenty of parking (not always a given on the canal). The deck, fire pit and dock were used day and night. We dropped our crab posts right off the dock and the kids were able to see star fish and crab from the dock. We were there for our daughters wedding at Alderbrook and decided to rent a house to have a place for family and friends staying at the resort to chill and visit between the wedding festivities. The house is only a few miles fron the resort so a great option if you are attending an event there. I only wished we would have booked for a full week, I did not want to leave. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family and am hoping to stay again.
This was a nice gem and the owners are very very nice and accommodating. The place was well equipped with the necessities for your home away from home. The place was clean, with a spacious and modern kitchen. Plenty of room for parking 3-4 suvs. A nice yard to camp on. The boat dock puts this place above the rest. It was fun throwing our crab pots out from there. The view and location was fantastic and for some first timers in the hood canal area, my friends could not believe how plentiful the oysters and clams were. They were very easy and fun to harvest right off the property. The fresh seafood was overwhelmingly delicious. We were in a food coma for days. We definitely recommend this place and we will be returning in the future.
This rental was such a great retreat for my family and I. We enjoy the property very much!
Upside - I loved the location as it is right on the canal with a beautiful view. Oysters are easy to get by just walking down to the water and picking them up, bring them back and throw them on the BBQ. The owners seem to leave a lot of things to help you out, such as gloves, oyster knife, park pass, hiking guide, etc. The kitchen has great appliances and most thing you need for cooking and daily life. There is a great seating area outside that is relatively private. They also have a kayak and row boat that you can use to go out on the water.
Downside - There is no closet space as the owners seem to be occupying the closet in one room and there is none in the other room. This was really a pain for us. The bathrooms are really bad, as the sinks are small, fixtures are old, and just feel cheap and awkward. The heating and cooling is really bad - there is floorboard heating in most rooms, but hard to control. There is NO air conditioning, so likely not nice for the summer. Kind of a pain getting in and out as the neighbor blocks one side of the drive so you need to turn around at the bottom which is a bit tight for a large vehicle. There is also quite a lot of traffic noise which is not so nice when you are trying to enjoy the back area, or sleep, but not too bad generally.
Overall impression - I like the area, but the house is not great - I think the price is a bit high for what you get. If they do some improvements it would be great as the location is nice. Overall I would consider coming back, but would look for a nicer place before considering.
Side comments - they leave stuff in the fridge and cabinets (e.g. half jar of olives, half bag of hamburger buns, a bit of coffee, etc, etc, etc) which I assume you are free to use, but for us this is really more hindrance than help as we would not be inclined to use other peoples left overs, so they tend to limit the space you can use without adding any value. Guess it depends on your thoughts on such things.
