The Cottage is located on 3 private acres which is mainly wooded right across the street from the lake!! There are 3 bedrooms, one of which is a loft, sleeps 5-6 guests and 1 bathroom. There are 1 queen, 1 full and two twin beds in the loft. The Cottage has a modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. The kitchen and dining room is equipped to serve up to 6 guests. There is a fire place, three decks and plenty of outdoor space. The cabin was perfect! Our only request would be to add cable or direct TV to watch football.

Perfect spot in the woods

  • 5 of 5

Our mission was to get away for the weekend and enjoy friendship and some beautiful fall scenery. It was more than accomplished! Brian's little cottage in the woods couldn't have been more suited to our needs. Spacious enough without being too big. We thoroughly enjoyed to frequent visits from our deer friends. The fire pit made for the perfect ending to our daytime visits to view the beautiful fall foliage at Promise Land Park. Couldn't have asked for more!

A Successful Girls Weekend at The Pack House

  • 5 of 5

Five adult females shared this cottage and we loved every second of it! The cottage is easy to find, has everything you may need, and has plenty of space. It is about a ten minute drive to Dutch's Supermarket and various other places which is very convenient if you have forgotten anything and/or if you do not want to pack a travel cooler. The beds are comfy, the space heaters offer additional coziness, and the fire pit is awesome (I highly recommend purchasing the wheelbarrow full of wood...you will not be disappointed)! Lastly, the proximity to Lake Wallenpaupack (directly across the street) and Tobyhanna State Park (about a thirteen minute drive) is great and the fall foliage was gorgeous at both places!

Brian was great to communicate with throughout the whole experience. He reached out to me periodically leading up to our weekend and even took the time to check in with me on both of the days we were there. His professionalism and kindness speak volumes about him and it was a pleasure to work with him throughout the rental process.

I highly recommend staying at the Pack House for any occasion! Thanks, Brian - you made our first experience of the Poconos a memorable one :)

Quiet, peaceful, full of modern technology. My family and i love this cottage!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is fully renovated, but at the same time it feels like you are in the middle of the wilderness. The lake is but a 1 minute's walk away. Its like an old time cabin in the middle of the woods with major upgrades. My family and i felt both comfortable and safe. Brian really made sure we were satified with our stay. We cannot wait to come back!

Outboards

Lake Wallenpaupack is a center of recreation for the surrounding communities, providing boating, swimming, and fishing access in the summertime, as well as ice skating and ice fishing in the winter. Its wooded shoreline also provides opportunities for hiking and viewing wildlife. Lake fish include smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, rock bass, bluegill, walleye, muskellunge, northern pike, pickerel, rainbow trout, brown trout, lake trout, catfish and yellow perch. Striped bass and hybrid striped bass have been stocked in the lake. The lake is 13 miles (21 km) long, has 52 miles (84 km) of shoreline, and is about 60 feet (18 m) deep at its maximum depth. Guests can rent boats paddle boards and jet skis or go parasailing right across the street at Light House Marina. I have two kayaks available for weekly rental to guests. The Lake is right across the street about 200 ft from the property.
