About Brandi Redmond
Captain John Redmond and Brandi are expecting a family in the next coming months.
Why Brandi Redmond chose East Moriches
This house is located in one of the most historic and peaceful hamlets on long island. As John was born and raised on Long Island, only the locals know about the hidden hamlets!

Charm and convenience
Charming property, perfect for a beach getaway. Kayaks nearby. Beaches everywhere! Enclosed yard perfect for doggies. Loved it!!
Perfect house for Rest & Fun!
We loved it! Perfect in every way for a couple seeking homey comfort and relaxation, with an enclosed porch with windows all the way around and a hammock swing (great for reading); a beautiful outdoor terrace overlooking a large backyard with trees, birds and a view of the bay, and a grill and games. Everything in the house was thoughtfully decorated with a brass bed, windows with a breeze coming through, organic cotton sheets and drapes, lovely photos and paintings throughout. Also, wi-fi (Mac, no PC), netflick movies, and easy walks to the bay and in town to the village. Close to two ocean beaches by driving. We even visited the local farm stand and got fresh vegetables and fruit. We live in NYC, and this was perfect for communing with nature, to rest, read, and enjoy the quietude of nature in a peaceful, inviting setting.
Our family had a wonderful time at this cozy cottage. Brandi & John were so helpful, even going so far as to finding an extra bike for our youngest to ride around the neighborhood. Just a short drive to some beautiful beaches. Highly recommended!
A Peaceful Pleasure
This was my second summer staying for 4 weeks at the little bungalow in East Moriches and my time there was just as lovely as the first. The South Fork of L.I. is often associated with the fancy Hamptons, but East Moriches and Center Moriches are modest, quiet little towns of s homes and quiet streets that all lead to the bay, yet 20 minutes from some of West Hampton's amenities and the ocean beach. The house is decidedly modest which relieves renters from the worry of scratching polished hard-wood, or leaving rings on a table. It's meant to be used and it is easy to keep clean. Here, you have a small house and a large yard which is what I prefer, and the house is surrounded by mature bushes and butterfly bushes which offer privacy from nearby friendly neighbors and bring all kinds of birds and butterflies right to your door. The bird population is amazing, for those who love them like me, and you are close enough to the bay to get a glimpse from the porch, to hear the terns feeding at dusk, and the ospreys calling from their nest one street over. Brandi and John respond immediately to any question you might have or issue that might arise and are truly invested in the pleasure and ease of your stay in their home.
Amazing little getaway
I rented this property for my mother and father who were celebrating their 25th anniversary. Boy am I glad I did. An amazing little house with all the things needed for a tranquil and comfortable little getaway. They loved the house and the backyard. I hope people get to enjoy this house in the future and thank you for the hosts for being very pleasant to work with.
Good location for us and our pets
We really enjoyed our stay at this water-view cottage. It was one of the few that allows both cats and dogs; so we were able to bring our two Siamese cats (who enjoyed the sunny window sills) and our Jap Chin/Miniature Poodle (who enjoyed many walks on quiet street).
The cottage was well furnished with just about anything you would need. The wi-fi wasn't working when we checked in, but John came over as soon as he could and spent the time to get it working. Everything worked smoothly after that; and the TV accommodated our Roku stick so at night when we were too tired to do anything else, we could satisfy our BritBox addiction.
We used the cottage as a base for trips to Smith's Point, Riverhead, Southampton, Montauk, and wandering around the South Fork. The neighbors we met were friendly, and Brandi and John were helpful and responsive before and during our trip.
The back yard and deck were inviting, and we got to watch a rabbit sampling some of the plants. Fifty feet down the street, we saw herons and swans in the waterway.
We would definitely consider staying again, especially because we could bring our pets.
