Newly renovated two story loft apartment in Laugardalur.

The condo is clean, spacious and bright with high ceilings. The beds are fitted with luxury light and airy down comforters, to keep you just the right temperature and high quality bed linens all cleaned and pressed professionally. The entrance level has a bedroom with 2 twin beds which can be set up separate or joined together according to your wishes. The bathroom on the lower level has a tub, shower and washer. Towels are provided.

The living room is bright with a high ceiling, a 75" flat screen TV, sleeper sofa and a comfortable extra sleeping chair if needed.

The upper level has a kitchen fully equipped for cooking including a refrigerator, microwave, stove and oven, and a spacious dinning area for eight people to gather around and plan the events of the upcoming days or just to have a nice meal. The upstairs bedroom has two twin beds which can be set up apart or together as well as a comfortable sleep chair for a third person.

The apartment is fully licensed for tourist rentals and is equipped with smoke detectors and a fire extinguisher.

The apartment centrally located in Laugadalur (Hot Spring Valley), home to the largest outdoor thermal pool in Reykjavik. In the vicinity you will also find the Family Park and Zoo, the Botanical garden with the lovely Cafe Flora and the World Class Gym and Spa. The Spa offers a wide variety of luxury massages and treatments to help you unwind. Reykjavik's main sports arena, running tracks, indoor ice rink and also a stones throw away. After a long day of sightseeing you can chose to cook at home or walk across street to a variety of dining choices. Dine in or take home (Fresh Icelandic fish, Chinese, Pizza, Salad, Vietnamese, Japanese, Sandwich place, health-food, expensive and less expensive). The edge of Downtown Reykjavik is only a 15 minute walk away with all its shops, cafes, restaurants and night time entertainment.

Two large hotels close by where you can catch the Fly-bus to and from the airport and all the major organized tours to the country side.

Cozy Condo!

We had the condo for our first 2 days of our 3 week trip this past September. What a wonderful cozy place to settle in and rest up from a long overnight flight from Canada. It was perfect accommodations for 2 couples and a 5 year old boy. It was very easy to get to from the BSI terminal, and is nicely located to many amenities. We liked that is was not right in the downtown core that was very busy with lots of other tourists, but is only a 10 minute walk to the centre of town. The unit itself is clean, bright, and spacious with contemporary comfortable decor. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Debby for the use of your condo!

PS. On a side note to other travellers. Check in times are usually after 2pm to allow for cleaning. If you are arriving on an early morning flight, you will want to make arrangements to store your luggage and tour the city until you can check in.

Good location. Great size for our family and FANTASTIC Beds, Sheets & Douvets!

Debby's place was perfect for our family. Enough space for all! The beds and sheets were AMAZING! and it was not a far distance to downtown. We enjoyed this place and would happily recommend it! The MASSIVE tv was a surprise and the kids were happy for that! It was equipped with everything we needed.

Comfortable apartment, good location

The location was good, with very good parking. Steps up to the apartment through so not suitable for disabled. It was also quite a way out of the centre of Reykjavik, about 2 miles, not really walking distance for us. So would say you need a car. Good for us as we didn't want to stay in the city centre and there were plenty of shops/petrol stations within a few hundred metres.

Apartment itself was in pretty good condition, nice decor, and was well equipped for all our needs. The beds in particular were very comfortable!

The main drawback for us was the very strong smell of rotten eggs (ie sulphur!) whenever you showered or ran the hot water taps. I understand that this is common in Iceland, but particularly in Reykjavik. We visited the blue lagoon and the showers there (nor the lagoon itself) smelled of sulphur. We travelled as far as Jokulsarlon during our stay and didn't notice the smell of sulphur in the hot water anywhere else. If this is likely to bother you then maybe stay somewhere outside of Reykjavik.

Overall though a great stay and we would recommend this apartment - we had no troubles at all and it was all arranged very smoothly. I particularly liked the combination lock entry rather than a key - we called all get in as needed that way.
