You'll find this cosy cottage the to be the perfect pad to explore Wellington. Park your car and walk the 90 seconds to the Embassy theatre and Courtnay Place nightlife district or just 7 minutes to Te Papa museum.
The cottage is warm (thanks to the heat pump) and cosy. The bathroom and kitchen won't be in any design magazines but they are functional and clean. The main beds have electric blankets and there is free wireless to keep up with life on-line.
This is a quiet retreat down a side street so does not have the noise associated with inner city apartments. And it has a sheltered porch and lawn for outdoor relaxing.
Extras: Cleaning (included); Linen (included);
positives-excellent location, good backyard and views
negatives-place was dirty on arrival, filthy toilet, no place to put our groceries as fridge and pantry were full, rubbish hadn't been removed, dirty linen, low water pressure, broken curtain rod-no privacy, washing machine and drier in shed were old and needed updating.
Place did not meet expectations -run down, musty smelling, rubbish at front door off putting (previous tenants). No washing machine or washing line. Good space for a small flat. Convenient location.
The Levy Street house is full of period kiwi character which makes for a relaxed stay. The location is amazing, just minutes walk to all the great Wellington attractions like Te Papa museum, funky Cuba Street. The Art Deco Embassy cinema, the beach at Oriental Bay, all of the gorgeous waterfront and so many different fantastic eating options, day or night.
We so enjoyed our stay! The bach I guess I'd describe as a wooden bungalow, and was very comfortable, had everything we needed, and was in such a fabulous location! We could walk to Oriental Parade and Courtenay place, and the supermarket was super close by. We have decided we will make this our Wellington place to stay from now on. The bed was super comfy too so we had great sleeps. Thanks very much to the owner as it was spacious, warm, nicely furnished, and a really lovely place to stay.
Great location very handy to everything it was clean and very comfortable unfortunately we couldn't get the jug to work or the wifi and the curtain still wasn't fixed in the lounge. But we had a fantastic time and enjoyed our visit.
Positive: The place is very, very well located and is convenient. The bedrooms and common room are spacious and the beds are comfortable. There is a nice backyard and frontward. Negative: The house is old and in poor repair. The oven did not work for 2/3's of our time (but was repaired). The electrical panel blew a fuse and is not to recommended code. We were without power for a day (but it was fixed promptly). The place is advertised with a parking space. However, the garage cannot be used.
