Relaxing and well maintained!

  • 5 of 5

A few friends shared an amazing girls weekend together in this beautiful home! The owner did a beautiful job in restoring and maintaining this home. There was plenty of space for us to enjoy this home and all rooms in the house came fully stocked! We thoroughly enjoyed the Lancaster area, travelling about 20 minutes to most activities we enjoyed that weekend. This home is definitely worth a stay!

Upper class

First and foremost Steve, the owner was really nice. House was clean. Amenities more than expected.

The home was beautifully decorated. We constantly marveled over the decor and the antiques. The original Windows, floors, etc gave it an extra special touch.

Landscape well taken care...

Porch is beautiful. A bit too many spiderwebs.

House is spacious. Sleeps 8 tops. Not sure why it's advertised as sleeps 10. Steve did prepare us a children size folding bed.

We would definitely return and recommend to others.

An absolute dream

  • 5 of 5

This was such a lovely and historic home. The owner restored it to such wonderful condition that we couldn't help but wonder what life must have been like back in the mid 1800's. The house was in impeccable condition, and the owner did everything he could to make us feel comfortable. The home was very comfortable for our family of three, and we were even able to invite my brother and his daughter to come up for a visit to Dutch Wonderland!

Simply excellent. A hidden gem

  • 5 of 5

Steve was gracious enough to allow my wife and I to host our wedding here, along with the reception (around 75 people). The house was perfect and all of our guests (including some of my wife's family who stayed at the house over the weekend) absolutely loved it. It's decorated with a lovely assortment of art and antiques that really it one-of-kind.

The house and yard were perfectly sized for the event that we wanted to throw but I imagine that it would also be just as cozy for a smaller family get together or a simple weekend getaway. It's located just enough out of the way for some quiet privacy but still close enough to Lancaster, Columbia, Marietta and York that there's plenty to see and do.

Steve was welcoming and accommodating and I will certainly be recommending this house to any out of town friends and family in the future.
