Located right on Piazza navona, it is perfect for a couple. Also suited for a family with 2 children. CROWNORSETTO is a lovely, elegant, cosy apartment with high ceilings and beautiful antique forniture, paintings, rugs. One bedroom, two bathrooms. 80 sq meters.

Enjoy a private roman palace located right on Piazza Navona. Outside austere, inside elegant and comfortable. This is a family-owned palazzo from 1550 with facades just renovated. Here you are at the center of the center; wherever you are, you'll enjoy a short walk back home to enjoy the quiet and comfort, to find it dry and cool during summer and warm and welcoming in winter. When there is bustle outside, you will be surprised how quiet it is inside thanks to specially fitted windows in the living room and bedroom. Relax watching TV in your language in every room, or listen to the radio while organizing your activities. Prepare your dinner at home, or enjoy traditional roman food in the nearby restaurants, in the apartment you will find plenty of suggestions.

Maximum 4 guests including children. Two guests in the bedroom, beds can be separated; two large single sofa beds in the living room. Cot/crib available.

CrownOrsetto is located at the 2 floor. The elevator stops between floors. To go up, stop elevator at third floor, then descend one flight of stairs; to exit, descend one flight of stairs and reach the elevator at second floor. Due to the stairs, CrownOrsetto is unsuitable for persons with impaired mobility.

The large Living Room is appointed in grand roman style. It is dominated by 2 huge, curtained windows facing the Braschi palace, a roman museum, and offering a side view of Piazza Navona. At the center two large and cheerful sofas that can turn into beds, a beautiful rug, an antique gilded sofa, a cupboard, a marble console, a closet, a dining table for four, while baroque and contemporary paintings ornate the walls. Satellite TV, AC.

The bedroom has an extralarge bed that can be separated into twins, padded bedheads, side tables, 2 antique cupboards, 2 armchairs, a large walking cabinet, satellite TV, AC. The large window has double curtains for night darkness. The ensuite beautiful, large, stylish bathroom has a bathtub. An additional bathroom has an enclosed shower.

Fully appointed: stove, oven, fridge, dishwasher, sink, boiler, a closet. Enjoy a romantic breakfast at the table for two, in front of the window and facing tiled roman roofs.

We care about your comfort: the best beds we could get, a spacious, welcoming bathroom, plenty of hot water, ample living room, powerful and quiet A/C in all rooms; central heating with independent temperature control; free broadband internet WiFi; satellite TV in bedroom and living room; washer, electric drying rack, iron and ironing board available. Palace doorman during daytime.

Within 200 m: minisupermarket, wineshop, bakery, tobacco shop, pharmacy, international newsstand, barber shop, gelato, pizza; several restaurants, Laganà, Fiammetta, La Campana, Alfredo (my preference is in that order) all serving good roman food; a taxi station 50 m away and several bus stops.

Try La Sagrestia, Via del Seminario Pantheon)

Campo di fiori, Piazza Farnese and surrounding area: plenty of bars and restaurants!

Via della Pace: Caffè della Pace, Bar del Fico - bar, drinks, tea - very trendy!

Piazza San Lorenzo in Lucina: sit outside, have drinks, lunch or dinner. Near the Via Condotti shopping area.

Gelateria del Teatro - Via dei Coronari, an absolute must!! Giolitti - icecream - Via Uffici del Vicario.

Beautiful and peaceful palazzo apartment on Piazza Navona

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here from December 26, 2017 - January 5, 2018. The apartment was elegant, beautifully appointed, and extremely comfortable. The double-pane windows made the apartment very quiet and peaceful at all times. It is perfectly located on Piazza Navona, and there are dozens of wonderful restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk, and of course many historical sites are close by as well. There is a Coop grocery store only 3 blocks away. The owner, Fillipo, and his assistant, Iryna, were a pleasure to deal with before and during our stay. I highly recommend this apartment! We plan to stay here again on our next visit to Rome.

The ideal Roman Holiday.

  • 5 of 5

This apartment in the Palazzo on Piazza Navona lived up to expectations. It is central to all the museums, sights, shops and restaurants and in the evening there are great walks to places like the Trevi Fountain or the Campo de' Fiori, that is if you want to leave the Piazza Navona. The furnishings are appropriate for a former palazzo, somewhat grand yet quite comfortable, with modern fittings in the right places. The building is impressive, with grand staircases, inner courtyards and high ceilings. Roman sculptures and antiquities are found in the second courtyard. Everything has been provided by our hosts. There are a number of supermarkets nearby for essentials. It was a pleasure to stay here for a week and we would recommend it wholeheartedly.

Magnificent property on Palazzo Navona with the amazing fountains out your front door.

  • 5 of 5

If you are fascinated by the history of Rome this is a perfect place to stay . The rooms are huge and furnished with everything you need for a couple to live in the palace of a 15th century noble family. What an awesome experience! Everything is provided

to cook small meals or dine in one of the abundant restaurants in the neighborhood, Campo Fiori is close to provide daily market foods, excellent vegetables, wines and cheeses.

Filippo, the owner and his assistant will graciously get you set up and provide assistance with your elegant stay in the palace.

Amazing stay!

Great location, good bed, needs refitting

  • 3 of 5

Loved the location of this spacious apartment on the Piazza Navona. It's been well-used and shows it. Basic repair and refitting needed: poorly equipped kitchen, broken floor boards, chairs that are falling apart, lights missing in bathroom.

Dim lighting throughout. No way to adjust the heat. Could be a gem with some attention.

A Palace in Rome

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay here. Reminded me of my early years in 1960s living in Northern Europe. The "feel" of staying in a 1500s building is not something one can experience in America. Everything you need is here in the apartment, and stores and restaurants are nearby (100yds) as is historic downtown Rome ((Piazza Navona, Pantheon). Can't really top this. Will definitely come again if possibility arises.

PIAZZA NAVONA is one of the grandest piazzas in Rome, a triumph of baroque art, where Bernini and Borromini challenged each other with their formidable masterpieces. The fountain of the four rivers by Bernini faces the great church of St. Agnes, by Borromini. Nearby, in Corso Rinascimento, Borromini built one of the finest examples of Baroque, the magnificent church of St. Yves, inside the National Archives Palace. Don't miss it!

Piazza Navona is busy all day, except in the early morning, its best time.

VIA DELL'ORSO is a characteristic street of old medieval Rome, prior to the baroque period. It is a limited traffic street, very quiet, and yet very close to most visiting sites.

From there you can easily reach your destinations, all within walking distance: Piazza Navona (150 m), Pantheon (600 m), Trevi fountain (1 km, 10 min), Campo di Fiori (800 m), Saint Peter (2 km), Castel Sant'Angelo (800 m, 9), Spanish Steps (1 km), Tiberina Island (1.7), the Ghetto (1,2 km), Capitol (1.6 km, 20), Colosseo (2,1 km, 25), Ara Pacis (700 m).

Taxis to/from airport have fixed rate (7.00am-11.00pm); at night the rate is by the meter.

Private pick up service to/from airport to Orsetto (3 to 8 people) is in the range of € 50/75.

Train from the airport to Rome costs € 14/person.

Taxi from station to Orsetto costs about € 15.

For City transport, please check this web page in english: It includes subway and buses. It may help you plan your stay in Rome.
