|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
In this 3 bedroom villa you immediately feel the typical tropical Bali lifestyle. The neighbourhood is quiet altough it's only a 10 minutes drive to Seminyak centre or to the nearest beach. There are several coffee shops, restaurants, a bakery and grocery shops within walking distance. The villas are flanked by rice fields but they offer all the possible luxury you could expect during your holiday. The villas come with a private 14m pool, daily maid service, free WIFI, cable TV and 24h/7 security.
Rating says everything :)) We spent a great time in this villa. Superb location (quiet still close to everything we like), big pool, wonderful garden, good design.
We stayed in the villa with the family for 47 nights, and simply fell in love with the place. It's well designed with comfortably sized common spaces and high ceilings - you can easily stay in and enjoy yourself without going stir-crazy. The pool is long enough for doing laps. In no time, Villa Moyo became our home away from home.
Our host, Coen, turned out to be a Bali attraction in his own right. His uncanny ability to anticipate and accommodate our needs made us nickname him "Superman." A few examples:
-Upon learning that I was planning to work while in Bali, Coen arranged for an upgrade to the fastest broadband connection available in Bali (he did not even mention this, this only came out when I was commenting that the quality of my skype calls was better in Bali than in the center of London).
-No matter what time of the day we'd reach out with a problem, Coen would solve it within minutes of receiving the whatsapp message. Need a driver at 6 am? Coen got us Woody who was possibly the most reliable driver on the island and became our guide who took us off the beaten path. Gas stopped working at 10pm? Coen was on location with a gas refill in under 15 min. Ran out of water bottles on a Sunday? Water magically materialized in the house before we even had time to walk back home from the neighborhod restaurant where I messaged during desert. Pest control, restaurant recommendations, pool cleaning, laundry...you can pretty much throw anything at Coen and he solved it for us with a smile!
A few things to consider when booking:
-Villa location is great if you want to be close to the action in Seminyak and Canggu but not in the middle of the traffic-jammed mess that comes with the territory. You will however need to rent a motor bike or a car. Getting a taxi to pick you up at the villa has proven to be quite challenging due to local taxi wars (Uber/Grab/Blue Bird vs. local suppliers of transport services who would not let the Grabs of this world pick up in the area).
-There is a lovely coffee shop (Bumbak Coffee), restaurant (La Casetta) and shop (Toko Bumbak) all within a 3 min walk. But walking along the road in Bali, especially with kids, is not for the faint of heart. So having a wheeled mode of transport is a must!
-Be prepared for the concerto of crickets, frogs, dogs, geckos and peasants working at the crack of dawn on the rice field next door. If this is not something you think you'd find soothing, bring ear plugs!
