This spacious mountain home provides plenty of peace and quiet both inside and out. Located on a large mountainside lot and surrounded by trees it is the perfect location for wildlife watching and family gatherings. Enjoy the outside hot tub and barbeque on the back deck or just spend some time relaxing with a book and a beverage on the picturesque front porch. Families will enjoy gathering by the fire for a game of cards or favorite movie. A fully equipped kitchen with sitting space for spectators will make the resident chef smile and mealtimes a family affair. The upstairs loft provides a perfect place for separating the gang for quiet time. It is a short drive to Blackwater Falls, Canaan Resort and the “chic” towns of Davis and Thomas. Winter visits will DEFINITELY require 4-wheel drive vehicles.

Fabulous rental

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was fantastic. Tucked into the mountain side with decks, firepit, hot tub and more. The home was very clean and well appointed. Large windows in the great room to take in the breathtaking views. One evening a large deer was looking at us maybe he was watching tv. The kitchen was very well stocked and roomy. The huge living room had double large sofa's and a big stone fireplace. There also was a 4 person table and chairs behind the sofa's for games, puzzles and more. Comfy beds and a big front porch with rockers. You couldn't ask for anything more at this rental.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a great time at Otters Den, everything needed was there plus some, Hot tub was clean and clear and did not have a heavy chlorine smell. Very pleased with the over all experience. Only negative we can say is there was a lot of spider webs on the walls, windows and beams.

Rustic Otters Den

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The surrounding area is beautiful and many rentals are rustic and fit into the scenery. Almost as if you are a part of nature. This area has not changed in 25 years which is a good thing. Be prepared to relax and turn off the modern and fast pace of todays society. Some must see areas, Blackwater Falls (Lindy Point Trl), shopping in Thomas (Tip Top Coffee Shop is awesome), Seneca Rock-go ahead and hike up it is not to strenuous, Dolly Sods has many wonderful trails but is rocky in many areas and can be muddy after some rain. This rental is darker on the inside than the photos appear. The back deck with hot tub is a plus. And overall the place was clean (coffee pot could use more attention on cleaning).
