The Parlour Suites on Jones is a spacious condo in an historic 1856 mansion, located on sensational Jones Street -- with 2 off-street parking spaces. Enjoy two lovely suites, spacious dining & living areas, full kitchen, laundry & private courtyard. Soaring ceilings, heart pine wood floors, 3 decorative fireplaces, and walls of windows give you a true Savannah experience. Sit on the live-oak shaded front porch w/ornate ironwork, surrounded by living history. This is what Savannah is all about!
The 2 bedrooms/2 baths are configured into two private suites, each with its own full bath and offering fantastic views of the landscaped courtyard and fabulous Jones Street. Each suite opens into the expansive parlour, which comfortably accommodates your living, dining and kitchen areas. For larger groups, the living area couch easily pulls out into a queen-size bed, giving you sleeping for 6. Heavy crown molding and chandelier lighting, along with decorative fireplaces and 3 impressive floor-to-ceiling windows create an elegant but relaxed and comfortable environment.
Decorative themes of nature, birds, coastal life, and bicycling give a soothing, cheerful feel to the classic interior. Between the stunning architecture, the comfortable furnishings, the off-street parking, and the choice Landmark location, the Parlour Suites on Jones is a superb choice of vacation rental. It is an ideal historic accommodation at the center of Savannah's celebrated Landmark District.
Owners Bev and John Theakston are honored to be stewards of their choice piece of Savannah history, and they are pleased to be able to share the property -- known as the Snider House -- with their guests.
Kelly purchased this condo in 2015
The Theakstons are drawn to the home's lovely architecture. They love their condo's 11-ft ceilings, the 3 decorative fireplaces with their ornate mantles, and especially the floor-to-ceiling windows that look out over an enchanting brick-paved Jones Street.
Say the Theakstons: "Let Savannah's history, culture and friendliness wash over you . . . We welcome you to stay at the Parlour Suites on Jones, surrounded by extreme beauty and refinement and on an intriguing block of living history."
My girlfriend and I stayed here for 10 days while vacationing in Savannah and couldn't have asked for anything more. The suite was beautifully decorated, has a great location and was clean clean clean. We had coffee in the court yard each morning which was a perfect and relaxing way to start our days. We had forgotten a couple toiletry items but to our pleasant surprise, the suite was stocked with everything we needed! The historic background and feel of the building makes for a true Savannah experience. We are absolutely coming back to the Parlour Suites on Jones next year!
Loved the house and loved the location! Tastefully decorated, well stocked and comfortable. My husband and I had a wonderful time here w/my father. We would return again in a heartbeat. Although it only rained a couple of times, I loved that there was an umbrella available in the entryway.
This vacation rental was absolutely perfect - we cannot say enough good things about it. During a two week road trip through the USA this was by far our favorite place to stay and we can't wait to return!
The property is tastefully decorated with beautiful antiques mixed with modern amenities and conveniences. You can tell that this property is well taken care of and that the customer has been thought of when it comes to all details.
All of the amenities of being at home (stocked kitchen supplies, linens, etc.), well-maintained and clean. It was great to be able to wake up in the morning and make our own breakfast before heading out for the day, we returned in the afternoons for a nap/relax prior to dinner, and enjoyed having somewhere to come back to and relax after dinner (sitting on the patio with a drink or curling up and chatting in the living room). There are two (tandem) parking spots available, which is a huge plus. We didn't need to drive often as this property is walkable to everywhere within the historic district of Savannah.
We also enjoyed morning take-out coffee at Clary's (their strawberry and cream cheese filled French toast is also delicious!), which is across the street. Honorable mentions for dining: Vinnie Van GoGos (pizza - cash only), Crystal Beer Parlor, Leopold's Ice Cream (worth the line if there is one!), Corleone's.
Thank you for a wonderful stay - we look forward to staying again!
This was a sister's (3) get away and our 1st visit to Savannah and the house was perfect, it meet all our needs. We felt staying there just added to the beauty and history that is Savannah. We appreciated all the information that was available and after touring all day it was nice to come back to a home as opposed to being in a hotel room. Highly recommend this location for women traveling we felt very safe in this area be it day or night. We hope someday to return to Savannah it was a beautiful place and would surely return to this home!
Location was perfect. Close to all the amenities. Clean, quiet, beautiful décor, and sunshiny in the morning. Great parking spot in the back. Appreciated access to the gated patio for an evening beverage. Loved our stay and will definitely be back!!
