The Wren's Nest is a beautiful retreat in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The Chalet is brand new and definitely shows the attention to detail throughout from unique twig work, plush white towels, Egyptian cotton sheets. We have created a very cozy atmosphere in our cabin and we're sure you will feel right at home. You can spend sunny days walking in the neighborhood, or read a book on the front porch swing. There are books of all sorts, movies to watch and board games to play! Or you can travel to Hiawassee for antique shopping, or shop at the wide variety of local shops. Hiawassee is only 31/2 miles from your front door. So please come have a visit, we would love for you to be our guest.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We arrived about 6 p.m. on Friday and love your cabin. Many thanks for the gift. We will try to book with you again. Your home is such a peaceful retreat. Hopefully we can return to the Wren's Nest and be able to spend more time in the mountains. Your retreat was a return to the "hills" we love and enjoy.

Romantic Couples Chalet Get Away

  • 5 of 5

This home is situated close to all popular parks, waterfalls and trails. The home's decor is beautiful and perfect for a romantic stay. The bedroom upstairs has a beautiful Jacuzzi and a cute balcony to sit in the morning sipping your coffee or at night while drinking your wine. I also got to see a deer sitting in the backyard...

The bedroom on the first floor has a deep bathtub, with shower head situated above on the ceiling...

This place is definitely great for 2 to 4 people. The only minus, not suitable for the elderly or handicapp person.

Beautiful, quaint and comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed at many cabins in the area over the past 20 yrs, and this cabin is up there on the list! It was very clean....cozy, quaint, warm and inviting. We normally stay in larger cabins, but it's mostly my husband and I now, and we don't mind smaller. The only negative was that the basement was unfinished, so didn't have the normal amenities you might expect with a cabin rental (i.e. pool table, hot tub, etc...extra room to hang out). It does have a fire pit out back, but it's not a very well defined area (only had a couple of plastic chairs). We didn't mind as we were only there for 3 nights and busy most of the time. Other reviews had mentioned the bathrooms being an issue....well, both are roomy and beautiful! The bedroom on the main level has a very LARGE tub/shower combo. Very roomy, but tall. HOWEVER, totally NOT an issue for us at all! The GORGEOUS tub upstairs is like heaven! Large, jetted tub with a handle sprayer to rinse off. FAB! We slept in the large bedroom upstairs the first 2 nights, and we're very light sleepers...needless to say, the "critters" (squirrels, etc....) woke us up very early morning running around on the roof and porch. We slept in the main floor smaller bedroom the last night and slept like babies. Now, as far as location..it was perfect. Yes, it's in a neighborhood setting, but VERY easily accessible...no super steep gravel roads! Being from FLAT GROUND FLORIDA, sometimes those steep treturous drives up can be nerve wracking! This was great! We will be back in the summer to look for a cabin of our own in Hiawassee, and are hoping to stay here again as our home base! Was truly a delight!!!

Beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

We had an absolutely wonderful time. The cabin is so cozy, clean, and decorated very well. We came up for a couples getaway and extended our stay because we wanted to bring the kids back to enjoy The Wren's Nest. The owners obviously care for the property very well. It looks brand new. I would rent this place again in the future.

Cute quaint cottage

  • 3 of 5

Very quaint and comfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable and we were all able to get a good nights sleep being out away from the city. Next time we will have to spend more time.

Thank you
