Tundra Bob's Cabin On Kasilof River

Bedrooms 1
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 3-6)

Located on the glacier-fed, salmon-running Kasilof River, Tundra Bob’s is the cozy cabin that is perfect for the Alaskan Experience. You can have all the peace and quiet that this secluded cabin offers or if you’re ready for adventure you are not too far from the highway or trail that will take you to it.

The interior is brand spanking new but Bob recycled the siding from the original homesteader’s cabin on the site. The wide covered porch offers a great spot to relax and watch the river run and tell fish stories. There is also a partially covered deck with a picnic table and a grill to cook up the day’s catch. A stairway leads you down to the river where you can cast your line.

Stepping inside Tundra Bob’s Cabin, you enter the comfy living and dining area where satellite TV and WiFi are provided. To the right is the completely equipped kitchen and the Mermaid bathroom.

Further Details: Up the stairs to the bedroom where the sound of the running river will lull you to sleep on the queen bed or the twin trundle bed. No matter what room you are in, there are plenty of windows to provide panoramic gazing at life on the river and in the forest.

About The Owner: My wife and I moved here in 1990 I am a drywall contractor. My wife is a school teacher.

It is a good location and it is next door to our home.

Relax with the view of the river. Fish, watch the Bald Eagles, Moose and other wild life that pass through.

We no longer can book for less than Two nights.

If we do take a one night booking there will be an additional $50 cleaning fee.

Perfect cabin and location

  • 5 of 5

All the reviews are correct - and the description is accurate. Everything you could want in a Kasilof riverside cabin. Highly recommend it. Great kitchen, fire pit, grill. And you can fish right from the shore. Thanks, Bob & Gail!

Sulphur Springs

nice cabin with great views of the river

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at this cabin in August on 2017. Right on the banks of the Kasilof River with steps leading down to the river. We were not able to fish from the bank but maybe because we didn't have the right equipment. About 15 minutes from Soldotna and an hour or so from Homer. Great central Kenai location. Adequate kitchen, comfortable bed, wifi and satellite TV. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful view, clean, and wonderful people to work with!

  • 5 of 5

Tundra Bob's was perfect for my family of four. The view out the front door of the Kasilof River can not be beat! The kitchen is well stocked and the host's are available on the property if you should need them but also allow you to have your space. Overall, a wonderful Alaskan experience. We look forward to staying here again soon!

We stayed in a spacious cabin get-way on the beautiful Kasilof river with visiting relatives! We used the cabin as a base to go sight-seeing and hiking in the area. It was a little too early to catch fish right next to the cabin, but it was ever so peaceful to watch the river go by and the boats floating down stream. We had a hard time leaving the cabin each day as just being in this setting was a remarkable opportunity to be part of a special Alaskan experience whether we were inside or outside the cabin, reading or painting on the deck or hanging out down next to the river viewing the glacier blue charged water. Check it out. A great package of comfort and Alaskan wilderness.

I am very happy to tell friends about this fine get-away on the Kenai Peninsula run by a couple who cared about our experience and comfort. Thank you Gail and Bob for sharing your Alaskan dream!
