It was my second time staying at this cozy house and my experience was just as good as the first time. Space was more than enough for my group of 10 people. Kitchen is right next to the living space so nobody was detached from the rest of the group and able to enjoy time together. Fireplace makes everything feel nice and cozy. During our stay, we were able to feed apples to 3 deer that came by the deck in the morning. Everything was great!
Everything was easily accessible, the skiing ,the shopping , and even the shooting range .. we had the opportunity to feed the deer one morning and my great nephew was amazed !!!
We had a large group of 10 coming from DC, Mass, NY, NJ and Maryland for a reunion and found that the Poconos was a great meeting point. Vanessa was easy to reach and answered any questions I had. We were able to bring our two dogs and they loved being able to hang out on the enclosed deck while watching for deer that would frequent the backyard!
Getting in and out of the community was easy to access and despite the current construction, was easy to get around to the lakes and the pool. We were close to the Bushkill falls and the Delaware river for tubing. Overall we had a great time and would certainly return if we make it back to the Poconos!
My first time renting a home and I couldn't have been happier. The owner's kept me very informed by providing details of activities to do in the area and provided a great stay for me and my family. The complex has a pool, basketball, volley ball and baseball field. If it weren't b/c we were going to Camel Beach, we would've just stayed in there all weekend. The house was really nice. Starting with the upstairs, you have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which were all very nice. The 1st floor had 1 a room with two futons, a large kitchen with everything we needed to cook (just bring your own food of course) and the living room was very spacious too. We took advantage of the back porch with the gas grill throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this home.
Our family planned a quick get-a-way and found this gem! Tucked away, this home sits behind surrounding homes bordered by woodland in a lovely gated community. The community is very large and has many amenities. There are two pools, basketball courts, sand volleyball court, a beautiful lake area where you can swim--use paddle boats--and fish off the dock. If you want to take a stroll through the community, there seems to be miles of pavement! When we arrived, the inside of the home was very clean, nicely furnished, well stocked with cleaning and kitchen supplies, and the beds were super comfy! The kids kept raving about how "fluffy" the beds were! There were 3 large bathrooms. One half bath was downstairs with a full-sized washer and dryer. The two other bathrooms upstairs had tubs and showers. The master bath included a very large jacuzzi tub and separate shower, while the jack-and-jill bathroom included a tub-shower combination. There was a surprise bonus room they called a den that had plenty of space for the kids to watch tv, play games, etc. There were two large futons that could be converted to beds in the den. Perfect for larger families who need extra bed space, or a place to have the older kids have their own hang out away from parents and younger siblings :) The layout is just right and is comfy, but not restricting in space. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room and more to spare. There is a nice deck with table, chairs, and a gas grill. Our landlords encouraged us to bring lots of apples to feed the deer that come to visit each evening. The deer came very close to us and enjoyed eating while we watched. The kids absolutely loved it! And, if the house isn't enough, there is plenty to do! There is information at the house about area attractions. The landlords provide community tags to use the community amenities, too. If you need additional tags, I believe it is $3 per day per person. Upon our landlords suggestion, we went to Shawnee mountain for fireworks. They were awesome! We also went to Camelback Mountain Adventures and Camelbeach on separate days. Both attractions were super! All in all we wished we would have had more time to spend. Our landlords were so accommodating and friendly. We cannot wait to come back! Don't hesitate to spend your Pocono retreat here!
