Quiet, spacious, and reasonably priced

  • 5 of 5

Our group of hiking friends loved this property. Lots of room and although close to the road, we never heard traffic noise while sitting in the arizona room every afternoon. Reasonably priced for the alpine area and for the amount of space it has. Would definitely stay here again. Also appreciated the landline since cell service is dubious. Sipe wildlife area is very close. Only suggestion for improvement is to please add screens to Windows to keep insects out at night.

Nice house!

  • 5 of 5

Lovely home lots of room to spread out. Nice and clean with a well stocked kitchen. I was able to cook all week and did not bring anything except my knives. The house is in the country and is on a septic system so there is no garbage disposal. They only provided 2 garbage bags so bring some if you are staying a while. The water is well water but was quite delicious. Nice patio with furniture that was fun to use as well as the grill. Good fire pit.

We plan on coming back!

Second time around is just as sweet!

  • 5 of 5

We returned for the second year in a row for our annual family reunion! A wonderful week with our adult children, grandbabies, furr-babies and Pawpaw. The cabin has everything you could ask for and is very welcoming and comfy. The owners were super friendly and always available. Plenty to do for all - hiking, fishing, boating, wildlife viewing or laying in the hammock with a good book. We enjoyed a nice trout dinner after fishing in Greer. Very enjoyable stay, highly recommended!

Quiet and relaxing

  • 3 of 5

This was our 2nd stay here. This house is always great for a relaxing stay! We enjoyed our stay, but it seems the home maintenance here has declined since last year. We discovered the master bedroom bed frame was broken our first night sleeping there. It felt like I was sleeping in a hole, downhill. The sheets on beds did not smell clean either. Idk if they wash the comforters or shams, but its the same bedding as last yr. I would suggest they get washed every time after guests and buy new after a yr if its a rental and gets that much use. Also, the upstairs guest bathroom was not clean. I found foreign body hair and used soap in it. Some kitchen glasses had lipstick and the fixtures on the counters are greasy. I mentioned the bed to the owners upon arrival. I sent another email about the house upon departure. It seems they don't check their emails often. Overall , we enjoyed our stay, despite these minor issues.

Owner's Response: The king log bed was fixed right after stay. The guests said via text that they were ok using the queen bed. Not sure why the large support pole at the head of bed broke, but maybe natural drying out from being a year old? Regarding the bedding... Since each room is themed, we have 2 to 3 sets identical to each room:(King trout: bass pro reel 3 sets), queen: wolf (3 sets: these are different), 2 sets (Elk and 2 sets Bear). This is vital for turn around stays since all bedding gets washed between all guests and it can't all get done in 4 hrs. We didn't know about the cleaning complaint until after guest stay and are now on our 3rd cleaning service. We do take feedback and maintenance seriously and appreciate guests letting us know, even if its a light bulb out:) thank you.

The cabin was the perfect place to stay. Plenty of room and everything as advertised. Dog friendly with plenty of room and the yard is completely fenced in. We will use this property again on our next trip to the area. Highly recommended!

Great FAMILY cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time! my kids enjoyed the cabin, running up and down the stairs with walkie talkies from either end of house. Its quite roomy, there were 6 total in our family. Its well equipped, and the owner Wendy does a great job of communicating with you and sending very detailed info. We went February 18th expecting snow, there wasn't any there. It did snow a little bit, but melts by evening. The good thing is Sunrise Ski Resort is about 35 minutes away, where there was tons of snow. And beautiful Greer as well, Alpine too. We will be back next year! thank you!!
