Listing description was more than accurate, actually exceeded our expectations! Fully stocked linen closet, clean towels, extra pillows/blankets, not to mention bottled water, snacks, fresh fruit and a wide array of different teas were there, who does that?? I know who, the best hosts Jeff and Dannielle. It's all about the details and they nailed it. Property was very clean and immaculate with nice back lawn, flowers lining the walkways and also inside the house, gave a fresh clean smell and appearance. Access to the our own patio and hammock was great, relaxing. Very spacious, surprised us. Big bathroom/shower was a plus. 100x better than staying at a hotel. Jeff and Dannielle were super friendly and accommodating, even provided us a packet to keep of brochures of things to see/eat in the area. Less than 10 min drive to downtown Thames Street. Close walk to Cliff Walk and Easton Beach, 1.3 miles to be exact. If walking there, would recommend going through J Paul Braga Jr Memorial Field which leads to a manmade walkway built around/alongside Easton Pond, it was extremely scenic (thanks for the tip Jeff!). Place was nice and quiet, away from the busy noisy main area of Newport but close enough to go back/forth. Would definitely recommend. Hope to stay here again on our next visit to Newport.

Wonderful place to stay

  • 5 of 5

When we arrived we were warmly greeted by Dannielle and Jeff. The accommodations were beautiful, clean and comfortable. Dannielle had snacks and staples (including toiletries) waiting for us. We took their recommendation for a restaurant and enjoyed a lovely seafood dinner. The fresh flowers were very much appreciated as they brightened an otherwise dismal weather day. I highly recommend this gem, close to everything in Newport and Middletown.

what a wonderful experience! best hosts ever!

we had such a great first time visit to newport, jeff and danielle are so kind and welcoming, we even got to meet some of their lovely family , and they just made us feel like we were friends visiting for the week. communication was great from the beginning, and their place is so comfortable, very clean and neat, and plenty of snacks and supplies. We rented bikes for the week from Newport Bicycle on Broadway(, Ben will help you out), and spent alot of the week exploring the various rides, got to see alot of beautiful areas. We also did the Cliffwalk, and toured some of the Mansions. It was great to head out in the morning, come back in the afternoon to relax on the deck, and then head back out for dinner. We had some great meals at Jo's bistro, the Conservatory at Vanderbilt Grace ,Sardellas, Anthony's seafood and Fifth Element. Danielle also had fresh flowers from her garden in the cottage which we really enjoyed. This is a great place to stay if you don't want to be in the thick of it, but also close enough to be able to walk downtown if you want, and it is easy to head to Middleton for groceries. Jeff and Danielle also gave us some great suggestions, and were easily available for any questions. It was a wonderful experience, and they are just the dearest people, we really enjoyed talking with them, we will always have such fond memories of our trip. We would definitely recommend their property, it felt more like a Bed and Breakfast- except we made our own breakfast, but they sure had us well stocked.

Wish we could give the place 10 stars

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay the Cozy and Quiet In Law Apartment. Danielle and Jeff are great hosts. The apartment was stocked full with everything anyone would need to stay and feel comfortable away from home. All the fixing except the ceareal for a Continental Breakfast were there on site. The place is impeccable and wo der fully decorated like a cottage. Kitchen living space bedroom and large bathroom all included and private. Plus the hosts gave suggestions about where to dine and provided many links to views the things we could do while in Newport and the surrounding dingarea. By far, this has been the best VRBO experience we have ever had since beginning with Airbnb and VRBO several years ago. We plan on returning next year while the foliage is available for view. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. Sincerely Annemarie and Robert

Fantastic Newport Gem!

  • 5 of 5

How fortunate we were to find such a fantastic gem of a property in Newport, Rhode Island on a holiday weekend! Tucked away on a side street, away from the congested traffic areas but still close to all the restaurants, beaches and tourist sites, Dannielle and Jeff's property was exactly what we were looking for during a recent east coast trip to attend a wedding in Newport.

This was the cleanest Homeaway property we have ever stayed at and Dannielle and Jeff made us feel so welcome the minute we pulled into the driveway! This in-law apartment is very private and spacious. Beautiful hardwood floors and soothing colors throughout the property. The private deck overlooking the gardens was such a nice respite after all the wedding festivities.

We had plenty of room to unpack our formal wedding attire and the furnishings in the apartment were comfortable and inviting. Our hosts were so kind to have beverages, breakfast items and fruit stocked in the refrigerator for us (a nice surprise and greatly appreciated). The full kitchen had everything we needed and more! The spotless bathroom was very large and there were little amenities available in case we forgot to pack something. The flowers from Dannielle's garden were such a nice touch as well!

We stayed only two nights but if we ever return to Rhode Island and Newport, we will definitely return to this property for a longer stay.

Thank you, Dannielle and Jeff for making our Newport trip so enjoyable!
