Privately owned clean, spacious and stylish apartment on high floor at PGRM Tower 2 (same building as Cempaka Apartment Hotel).
The space consists of a bedroom with king-size bed, living area with sofa-bed, dining area, well-equipped kitchenette and bathroom with hot shower.
The apartment offers a superb view of the KL Towers, Petronas Twin Towers and KL city skyline from the bedroom window.
The space is tastefully furnished with comfort in mind to cater to families, couples or single travelers alike and can nicely accommodate up to 4 guests.
Other available amenities in the Apartment include free WIFI, big wardrobe, study desk, separate air-condition for bedroom and living area, TV, hairdryer, ironing equipment, sewing kit and first-aid kit.
Comfortable pillows, quilts, towels, body shampoo and hand soap is also provided.
The kitchenette is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave oven, jug kettle and toaster with complimentary bottled mineral water, beverages and biscuits.
Shared facilities in the building include the gym, outdoor pool and elevators. A coffee house on the 2nd floor serves a variety of local and western food which is available for eat-in or take-away.
One indoor car park (unreserved lot) is available free of charge. The building has 24-hour security and CCTV.
If you need your host's assistance in whatever way during your stay, kindly inform her and she will do her level best to assist.
For food lovers, there are many famous restaurants in the surrounding neighborhood. Chinese, Malay and Indian food are easily available from eateries, big and small, within walking distance from the Apartment.
Chinese food is especially popular in this locality and people come from near and far to eat here. Some of the shops will have long queue during lunch or dinner time so be there earlier if you want to try their food. Most do not keep reservation for long though as business is bustling.
Street food and hawker fares are other must-try food while in Malaysia and there are no shortage of these around the vicinity. You can find plenty of coffee shops and street hawkers selling local food at reasonable prices.
For exercise buffs, Taman Pudu Ulu, a nice landscaped public park is just across the road from the Apartment. The park has jogging path and exercise equipment, a children's playground, swings and cycling is also possible (no bicycle rental, though).
Many people can be seen in the park in the morning and evening when the weather is not too hot. Groups of ladies doing line dance, group aerobics and people practicing qigong and tai-chi are regular activities at the park.
The second phase of Taman Pudu Ulu, adjoining the existing park, is now under construction and when completed (probably by 2017) will boasts of a manmade lake with even more facilities for the public.
A little further away but near enough to reach with a 5-8 minutes drive is the Taman Tasik Permaisuri. Located at Jalan Tasik Permaisuri 2, it is a 40-hectare recreational park with a massive lake, fountains and outdoor gym. It has some hilly terrains and labelled trails for running. To avoid the crowd, you can try to do the foresty bit of the park.
Don't forget to visit the KLCC Park too while you are shopping at KLCC.
Another beautiful lake in KL that you can include in your to-visit list should be the Lake Titiwangsa, located at Lorong Titiwangsa which is around 25-30 minutes drive away.
For those who love the outdoors/nature, check out Bukit Apeh aka Bukit Saga or Bukit Putih. It is a hill with a waterfall that sits on a forest reserve in Cheras.
It is a popular hiking/trekking trail among the urbanites of Kuala Lumpur and is just a short drive (15-20 minutes) from the Apartment to the hill base. Due to its popularity, many information and photos have been shared online. For more online information search bukit saga apeh. Enjoy reading!
For those shopping is an integral part of life, you're not deprived.
The nearest shopping mall is, none other than the AEON Taman Maluri that is reachable with a mere 5 - 10 minutes walk. AEON TM has been around a long time but continues to be a popular mall among local residents to buy groceries, household items and to have their meal.
Another huge and exciting shopping venue, Sunway Velocity, is soon to make its presence. Strategically located on Jalan Cheras (several steps from AEON TM and right in front of the soon-to-be running MRT station) it is poised to be the next talk of the town shopping mall.
When it opens its doors (sometime mid 2016, I believe), Sunway Velocity is going to change the landscaped and shopping experience for residents and visitors to Cheras.
Further on Jalan Cochrane (10 minutes drive from the Apartment) you will find the ever popular IKEA Cheras which opened its doors in November 2015.
If you're geared for more upmarket, trendy and funky shopping and gastronomy adventures, fret not. Pavilion, Fahrenheit, KLCC/Petronas Twin Towers, Avenue K, Berjaya Times Square, Bukit Bintang, Sg Wang, Jalan Alor, Petaling Street are all reachable within 30 minutes by bus, LRT, Monorail or taxi.
Another not-to-miss thing is a trip to the Night Market or Pasar Malam. Night market offers visitors a more localised shopping experience. You can find almost anything and everything at this market.
The nearest night market from the Apartment is at Taman Kobena on every Tuesday night. Other nearby night market is at Taman Midah (Saturday) and Taman Connaught (Wednesday). Night markets usually starts from 5pm and closed around 11.30pm or earlier for some venues.
For a taste of Malaysian history, you can visit the Muzium Negara (National Museum of Malaysia) located at Jalan Damansara which takes about 20 minutes driving time from the Apartment. A trip to the museum will enlightens you to the rich history of Malaysia and its people.
For those with passion for theatre, check out the Istana Budaya (Palace of Arts) located at Jalan Tun Razak. Driving there should take about 20 minutes. Istana Budaya is the National Theatre and main venue for musical theatres, operas, classical concerts, both local and international.
The other place worth checking out for concerts and recitals would be the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra located at KLCC.
A visit to a foreign country will not be complete without learning about its culture and bringing home pieces of arts and crafts as souvenirs.
To meet this needs, go visit Central Market (Pasar Seni) the centre for Malaysian culture, heritage, art and craft. Located at Jalan Hang Kasturi, it takes less than 20 minutes drive to reach there. Alternatively, LRT and public buses also goes there.
You will sure to find something that represents your Malaysian vacation for everyone back home from Central Market. While here, you may want to visit the Chinatown (Petaling Street) of KL too which is just a short walking distance away.
Another handicrafts that makes a good souvenir will be things made from Batik. Visit the Jadi Batik Gallery located at Jalan Inai, KL for a wide variety of batik handicrafts ranging from apparels, toys to painting. Batik is basically decorating cloth with the art of wax and dye technique. While there, you may even have a chance of designing a piece of your own (check with the staff for available activities).
The apartment is strategically located near the city centre and is well connected to many parts of the city by LRT, Monorails, future MRT, public buses and taxis. Transport stations and stands are about 5 minutes walk from the apartment. If you wish to book a taxi or rent a car, just let your host know and she will assist you with the arrangements.
