The cabin is really nice. Just be sure you know what you are getting into first. The electricity runs by solar during the day and gas generator at night if you need it. This worked fine for us although the generator is super-loud.
The cabin is in Kolob Terrace, near the reservoir, if you like fishing and near Lava Point, if you are up for a full-day hike on West Rim trail. It's an hour drive to either the Kolob Canyon or main park entrances. You have to drive all the way up Kolob Terrace Road-- which is spectacular both up and down!-- to get to the cabin. There are several trailheads off this road, within 15 or so min. of the cabin.
The cabin is clean and well-maintained. All of the appliances and showers worked great. There is a nice outdoor fire pit and a couple of grills. The kitchenware could use an upgrade-- couldn't find a single sharp knife and the pots and pans were limited. The master bedroom is quite nice. The rest of the beds are all loft and bunk style. You could easily sleep 7 or 8 adults but those not in the master bedroom will be a bit cramped.
It's a bit pricey considering how far it is from civilization but it was a unique experience and we had a fine time! I would not hesitate to stay here again.
This cabin is a must see. Stayed for 4 days and it wasn't long enough. Did hiking in Zions park, fishing at kolob reservoir, and late night camp fires front of cabin. Bring all your food and supplies with you it quite the drive to the store and take your trash out on every trip. We had a group of 14 and were more than comfortable everybody enjoyed themselves. Thank you for letting us stay.
I had no idea what to expect, as soon as I walked in I knew it would be amazing, beautiful property, comfortable and incredible views. I would come back for sure... I traveled with my family and children and we had plenty of room to move about and tons of things to do inside the cabin as well as outside. I was able to go to the reservoir which was stunning in the fall for a little fishing. I was able to visit Zion National Park and do a couple of trails. Over all it was a little further from town than I would have liked but worth the drive. The cabin has everything you will need, including dishes, toaster, oven, coffee maker. You just need to bring food and ice.
This was my groups first time in Utah specifically to explore zion national park. This cabin was everything we expected and more the pictures don't do it justice . Our contacts were very friendly and accommodating . My only advice is to be conscious with trash and make sure you plan groceries accordingly it is probably most convenient to have everything you need the first time so you do not have to go back into town for multiple trips. Also plan accordingly for trips into Springdale it will probably take you an hour from where the cabin is to get to the south entrance of zion. I hope I can make it back to this place and stay a little longer. Very nice trip
It was overall a great stay we loved the cabin. It is pretty remote which is nice. We really enjoyed our time here. The owners were very accommodating, when we ran into little troubles along the way.
Great place! Pictures do not do it justice. Much bigger then I expected, super clean, master bed is incredibly comfortable. Only thing to pay attention to is trash at end of stay. No local place to drop off trash. However, it is amazing and definitely the spot to get away from it all.
