About Sara Silva

We currently live in the area and often have family and friends come to visit. They always leave with plans to come back and enjoy the lake and the many outdoor activities that are available at our doorstep. Like many New Hampshire residents, we're "out-of -stater's" who grew up visiting the area for camping, hiking, biking, skiing, swimming etc. As we started to raise our family our vacations centered around "lake-living" and the sense of peace it always provides. We hope you'll feel the same.

Sara Silva purchased this cottage in 2013

Why Sara Silva chose Lakes Region

This property is directly on Belleau Lake with it's fine fishing, boating, swimming and spectacular sunsets which can be seen right from the large deck overlooking the lake. Belleau Lake is a 290 acre private lake in the Lakes Region of NH. Its typically a quiet lake with average water craft traffic during peak seasons and weekends, and very little traffic during the week and off season. It is one of the more peaceful lakes in the area which is one of the reasons that we chose it.

What makes this cottage unique

This cottage has been renovated from top to bottom. It's neat and clean and ready for you to come in and make it "home". It is located in East Wakefield and is convenient to Wolfeboro, Conway, North Conway, The Outlets at Settlers Green, Sanford, ME and just over an hour to the White Mountains. During fall foliage and the many fall fairs in the area you can experience what its like to live in New Hampshire among the beauty of the hills and mountains. Take a ride up Rt 153 to Conway during any season and you'll see beautiful scenery and maybe some wildlife. The Cottage is also located just off of Corridor 19 for snowmobiling. The Seven Lakes Snowmobile Club grooms many miles of trails on the NH trail system and from the Cottage you can get to just about anywhere in the state, depending on the amount of snow. In the summer and fall those trails are available to mountain bikers and hikers and also shared by a variety of wildlife. King Pine Ski Area is also located about 15 miles from the Cottage and has a wide variety of outdoor activities during the winter months.

Absolutely perfect, serene place for a getaway

  • 5 of 5

Starting off with a warm welcome from an excellent host, to a perfectly appointed home that has truly every comfort you could ask for, this home on the lake was the perfect vacation spot for our anniversary trip. The amazing sunsets were an added bonus to this relaxing home on the lake. We have rented through VRBO for over ten years and this home is without a doubt the best as every detail for a guest's comfort was thought of in advance right down to fresh flowers in the kitchen. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Best weekend in a wonderful home!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent a long weekend at this beautifully designed and well-equipped home. In expectation of our arrival after sunset, the lights and heat were left on and we were greeted by fresh flowers on the counter and a warm, spotless retreat. Sara met us the morning after we arrived to share some interesting facts about the house that they lovingly restored and told us about what the area had to offer. She was very hospitable and interested in our comfort and urged us to use the paddleboat, brand new kayaks, canoe, fire pit with a generous supply of wood, fishing rods, and all the provisions in the kitchen cabinets. The lake was so peaceful, almost dreamlike, in the evening and the sunsets were spectacular. The evenings were cool and the gas fireplace was magnificent - efficient and lovely to look at. There is a great general store just down the street that is packed with everything that you could need from ice cream to beer and wine. There are a lot of things to do in the area, but we were happy to stay and enjoy this little slice of paradise!

Perfect Place to Relax!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our five days there .. the house is so well done.

Everything is up to date, spotless, comfortable, and the kitchen and bath are

well equipped. It was definitely true to the description online.

We loved sitting down by the lake having lunch or

drinks and dinner! We would definitely make a return visit.

Sara (the owner) is gracious and helpful and made us feel

right at home.

Wonderful Property could not be better, Great Location !!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at this property and it was perfect, all the modern comforts of home, TV, Internet, Gas and Wood fireplaces, gas heat if needed, modern kitchen dishwasher, microwave, electric stove, coffee maker, all the pots and pans needed, refrigerator has an ice maker, etc.

The master bed is King size with French doors overlooking the lake, and a sleep number mattress. The bathroom is modern with anything you would need. Second bed room has a Queen and 2 single beds.

There is a dinning table with 6 chairs off the living room.

Gas grill, canoe, and paddle boat is provided, and there is a fire pit.

The deck on the back of the house runs the entire length of the house with plenty of chairs and a table to eat out side if you wish.

Fans are provided in case the weather is very warm, but the breeze off the lake is wonderful.

This is a Five Star, property, well worth the experience. I recommend this property to anyone.

Owner's Response: Thank you Jim! We're so happy that you came back! It was nice to see you both again and we hope that you'll consider making this your yearly "lake vacation". Of course you'd be welcome any time. The winter is gorgeous here on the lake as well. Think about it. We'll leave the light on!!!

Perfect spot for a relaxing getaway--but close to so much!

  • 5 of 5

Couldn't have been happier with the location, the amenities, or the hosts! My husband and I spent an incredibly restful week here. We alternated days lounging on the deck with trips to Kennebunkport, Mt. Washington, and the Kancamagus Highway--each close enough that we were able to sleep late and still make it there and back in time to catch the sunset!

Sara met us when we arrived to welcome us but otherwise left us alone to settle in and discover all the house had to offer--though she responded very quickly via text the few times we had questions.

Because there is a full, well-equipped kitchen, we were able to cook our own meals instead of eating out (usually a major expense on our vacations). Because there is a washer/dryer, we were able to pack lighter (and didn't face a huge load of laundry as soon as we got home). Because there are French doors in the master bedroom, we were able to lay in bed and enjoy the view of the lake and the sound of the loons.

The only regret we have about renting this house is that we only spent one week--we're already talking about going back next year for 2 weeks!

This area is one of the snowiest areas in the State - when we get snow. The cottage has direct access to Corridor 19 which connects to most of the groomed trails throughout the State; Seven Lakes Snowmobile Club. As the lakes and ponds freeze access to other parts of the State become available and access to the Maine trail system is also available.

A one month rental is for a total of any four consecutive weeks. We've chosen the the lowest level of insurance offered because this is a new home with new systems and appliances. Rather than ask for a security deposit, which would be added to the rental cost, taxed, and then refunded, this provides the best low cost, less headache option for both parties. Also, the Governor of the State of NH, requires 9% on all vacation rentals to balance her budget!! She thanks you very much for you support!!
