About Sara Silva

We currently live in the area and often have family and friends come to visit. They always leave with plans to come back and enjoy the lake and the many outdoor activities that are available at our doorstep. Like many New Hampshire residents, we're "out-of -stater's" who grew up visiting the area for camping, hiking, biking, skiing, swimming etc. As we started to raise our family our vacations centered around "lake-living" and the sense of peace it always provides. We hope you'll feel the same.

Sara Silva purchased this cottage in 2013

Why Sara Silva chose New Hampshire

This property is directly on Belleau Lake with it's fine fishing, boating, swimming and spectacular sunsets which can be seen right from the large deck overlooking the lake. Belleau Lake is a 290 acre private lake in the Lakes Region of NH. Its typically a quiet lake with average water craft traffic during peak seasons and weekends, and very little traffic during the week and off season. It is one of the more peaceful lakes in the area which is one of the reasons that we chose it.

What makes this cottage unique

This cottage has been renovated from top to bottom. It's neat and clean and ready for you to come in and make it "home". It is located in East Wakefield and is convenient to Wolfeboro, Conway, North Conway, The Outlets at Settlers Green, Sanford, ME and just over an hour to the White Mountains. During fall foliage and the many fall fairs in the area you can experience what its like to live in New Hampshire among the beauty of the hills and mountains. Take a ride up Rt 153 to Conway during any season and you'll see beautiful scenery and maybe some wildlife. The Cottage is also located just off of Corridor 19 for snowmobiling. The Seven Lakes Snowmobile Club grooms many miles of trails on the NH trail system and from the Cottage you can get to just about anywhere in the state, depending on the amount of snow. In the summer and fall those trails are available to mountain bikers and hikers and also shared by a variety of wildlife. King Pine Ski Area is also located about 15 miles from the Cottage and has a wide variety of outdoor activities during the winter months.

This house on the lake was beautiful! Newly renovated this cute cabin was in excellent condition.

  • 5 of 5

Many hours were spent by my husband finding the perfect "cabin on a lake" for our family vacation and this one fit the bill...perfectly! We couldn't be happier! We never left the cabin except to meet our son for dinner one night. The rest of the time was spent fishing, swimming, boating and sitting around the fire pit making s'mores! From 5 years old to 79 our family was thrilled with our stay and we can't wait to go back again next summer!!

Owner's Response: This is lovely! We are so happy that you and your wonderful family enjoyed all the "perks" of living on the lake. (You may want to consider a trip in the fall or winter as well. It's simply beautiful here all year round.) It was so nice to meet you all and we look forward to your return!

Superb location, well maintained

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely perfect property for a quiet relaxing break. Very little noisy lake traffic, even over the weekend.

It is also a great base from which to explore the White Mountains , without staying in the 'tourist traps'.

The property is ideally situated, and if anything the interior photos don't do it full justice.

The cabin comes with kayaks, a canoe, a pedalo, fishing gear, a gas BBQ and a fire pit for the S'mores. It is also well stocked with books and games for a rainy day, but we only had one of those.

Everything was perfect!

This is an amazing cabin, we had a wonderful time just snowshoeing and ice fishing on the lake right off the back porch! The sunsets are amazing, and we love the gas fireplace. We look forward to visiting again, in both the winter and summer!

Cozy Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful cabin! They have all the details to really make you feel like a home and top it off with fresh flowers when you walk in. Everything from all cooking supplies to a fan for the bedroom (I can't sleep without the noise). The fireplace in the living room is not only cozy and beautiful but can put out some heat after being outside in the snow all day which is perfect! Sarah is great to work with, you can tell how much work they have put into the cabin and take pride in not just the property but the renter's experience. The only thing that I could say wasn't great was the water smelled of Sulfur. There were a couple gallons of water in the fridge which was perfect for drinking, so it really wasn't a big deal. Thank you!

Owner's Response: Thank you Meaghan. I'm so glad you were comfortable at the cottage. We hope to make you feel like it's your home-away-from-home so we tried to think of everything. Some people would rather drink bottled water (including me) so I'm happy to provide that for our guests. We hope you'll come back and enjoy the lake anytime of year.

Property is right on the lake. Amazing view from dining, kitchen, and master bedroom!

  • 5 of 5

This was an amazing mini getaway for us. We went skiing during the day and at night we watched tv by the fireplace in the living room or played games at the kitchen table. Watching the sunrise in the morning while still laying in bed by the second fireplace was beautiful! The lake was frozen so we could walk on it and the locals fishing on the lake were very friendly. The property is well taken care of and the amount of love that was put into making this house is evident. Definitely a nice and relaxing vacation!

Owner's Response: Thank you Jennifer! It was nice to have met you all and we appreciate how nicely you left the cottage! I hope you and your friends can plan another trip to our lake in the summer. It's beautiful here all year but summer-time is always buzzing. (We got new kayaks at the end of last summer and the canoe has the most comfy seats ever!!!) Enjoy the winter and I hope to see you again!

This is one of the snowiest areas in the State - when we get snow. The cottage has direct access to Corridor 19 which connects to most of the groomed trails throughout the State; Seven Lakes Snowmobile Club. As the lakes and ponds freeze access to other parts of the State become available and access to the Maine trail system is also available.

A one month rental is for a total of any four consecutive weeks. We've chosen the the lowest level of insurance offered because this is a new home with new systems and appliances. Rather than ask for a security deposit, which would be added to the rental cost, taxed, and then refunded, this provides the best low cost, less headache option for both parties. Also, the Governor of the State of NH, requires 9% on all vacation rentals to balance his budget!! He thanks you very much for you support!!
