This yacht is very spacious and bright with windows surrounding it making views of the ocean amazing. The marina and its grounds are meticulous and located in the middle of a turquoise paradise with amazing water clarity. Your stay will include free access to the marina's private pool, restaurant, private swimming beach, and tiki bars. The marina is located close to downtown and many retail, restaurants, and attractions, gated with 24hr security. We also offer sunset sails, full and half day excursions, as well as overnight and extended charters, spending your nights anchored next to private, protected, islands, for an additional charge. We recommend sailing to the beautiful Dry Tortugas, for an additional cost, for a minimum of four nights, which will make this yacht a forever memory. There is no movement to the yacht while it’s at the marina tied to the dock. You will sleep very well aboard this yacht with its spacious salon, cockpit, and bedrooms. Please contact us through this listing if this yacht does not meet your specifications as we have other yachts that may. The listing rate only applies to your overnight stay at the marina.

A fun Key West home away from home!
We loved our stay on "Lion's Paw" The boat is in a very nice marina, providing pleasant, peaceful nights with sleep enhancing water sounds. The boat is pretty and clean, with a well appointed galley. Captain Janet was very welcoming and always responded quickly to our queries. Captain Nancy was on site and kept us well informed and was a fun and gracious host as well. Our day sail was most enjoyable, with a perfect breeze and professional yet FUN companionship provided by Captains Nancy and Pam. A nice light lunch was also provided.
Our stay in Key West felt like more of an adventure staying on "Lion's Paw"!
Scott...thank you very much for your kind review. We hope you come back and vacation with us again.
All the best, Capts Janet, Nancy and Pam
Sorry for the delay on this review but this trip started out really bad for us do to some travel issues. But we took in every second we spent here on this beautiful sailboat. We arrived really early in the morning due to out late travels and Capt. Nancy had everything ready for us. Took a while to find the location at 3 in the morning but we did. The walk down the dock is long as these are very large boats. But its a beautiful walk and the Lions Paw is perfectly located at the end right next to the showers and tiki hut. The location was very private. Not crowded at all. And the view? Well all I can say is it is Stock Island (Key West) and it is gorgeous. Stock Island is literally minutes from KW. Didn't expect to be showering off the boat even though the boat does have showers, but it was very private and stepping out with the beautiful view of the ocean is just as relaxing as it can get. We went in late July and it was hot. We sweat a lot and had a great time. Now to Capt. Nancy's sailing trip. She is the best. Very informative, instructional, and laid back. She didn't have a mate due to us having to reschedule our sailing trip and thankfully our son was able to help and learned a lot from her time and experience on the seas. This was a different experience for us staying on the boat for the vacation but we loved every minute of it. Time just flew by to fast. Thanks again Nancy and Janet from Pam, James and Zack. We look forward to a return trip.
Thanks so much for your kind review James...we care very much about our guests and try very hard to give them an experience to remember. Please come back again.
Great family getaway
With two teenage sons and a young daughter I am always looking for a vacation that is off the beaten path and ideally off the grid too. Staying on The Lion's Paw in the marina and then at sea met these criteria--we got to "glamp" while at the marina and had some of the best family time just taking in the ocean breeze and later gazing in the night sky when we did the overnight trip since there is no internet at sea (yay for moms).
Captains Janet and Nancy were very organized and always responded promptly with any questions. And as our captain for the overnight trip, we felt we were in very capable hands with Nancy at the helm. It's not easy being in close quarters with someone you've just met, but within a short time our entire family felt at ease with her.
If you are looking for a typical resort vacation this is not for you. But if you want a very unique experience that will provide lasting memories then I highly recommend The Lion's Paw and crew.
Thank you Karyn for your very kind review. We love giving folks a memorable vacation and always aim to give very best service given the realities of boats and the always variable weather. Your family was a delight - wonderful go with the flow folks. I hope you'll come again. Captains Janet and Nancy
This boat was wonderful. It had everything we needed to feel at home. A family of 6 stayed comfortably, loved the cooler that we could take to the beach! Every night we sat and watched the fish in the marina, truly special experience.
My wife & I were very glad we chose to try a boat over the conventional condo stay in Key West. Just the idea of living on the boat for a few days added a great sense of fun and adventure as neither of us have ever owned one. The marina was also very nice--cute private beach and pool and a nice restaurant on the premises. The Tiki Hut was being repaired during our stay but it also looked promising. We both liked that the showers and bathrooms were very close to the boats and the option to use the indoor marina facilities was also available. As nice as the marina was, the immediate surrounding region (to our surprise) was a little rough--lots of beat up trailer homes, etc. But it was no reason for alarm as the marina is private and secure. We also grabbed dinner at a local hotspot called Hogfish Bar & Grill which was nestled on the water down a backstreet--not easy to find-but we enjoyed dining with the locals there and the food and entertainment were great. The boat itself was very clean and had everything we needed. It was charming and intimate just what we wanted. The only disappointment was the fact that we pre-paid for a snorkel/sail which was something my wife was really looking forward to but early into our sail our captain Nancy advised us that because of the heavy surf we would not be able to snorkel. That was disappointing news to hear. We would have liked to have had a conversation before leaving the dock about the possibility of no snorkel due to the weather. If we knew in advance that snorkeling was unlikely we may have canceled the sail--not that the sail was bad--it was actually beautiful--but we are both Floridians and have experienced boats and beautiful seas before. We took on the expense of the excursion mainly for the snorkel not the sailing. Either way, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend an overnight boat experience in Key West to others.
loved every minute of our stay...would recommend.,
