Guestbook comments from the manager

My Girlfriends and I loved our stay at the Sand House. We had an excellent stay, the house was close to downtown Sawyer which had cute shops and a great brewery. It was also very quick walk to the beach. We would definitely come back for another stay!

Great Beach Property

  • 5 of 5

A wonderful beach property! The house is clean and well-kept and comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked with anything you could need and there are plenty of extra linens, beach items, etc. They even had toys for the kids! Overall, a great stay within a very short walk to an amazing beach.

Lovely home in wooded neighborhood, near lake.

  • 5 of 5

Lovely home in a beautiful wooded neighborhood. Five minute walk to private beach on Lake Michigan. Enjoyed sitting on beach even though it was a chilly fall day. The large house is decorated quite nicely with lots of room. Sleeps 10, 2 bathrooms, has a deck and a screened in porch on the lower level off the TV/game room.( we didn't use)The house was very clean and the beds were very comfy. Kitchen was large looked like it was well stocked with pans and stuff. (we didn't cook). Lots of awesome places to eat in the area and many awesome wineries to visit. Cant wait to return to this gem in the summer!

Fantastic Getaway!!

  • 5 of 5

The pictures don't do this house and it's location justice. The house was much roomier than it appeared in pictures and being in the woods gave it a very private and secluded feel without feeling like you were too far away from anything. We enjoyed that the beach was so close. On our first night we could hear the waves from the lake as we sat out on the deck.

The inside the house was very clean and comfortable. We found everything we needed easily thanks to the labels and directions provided for us. There were even a few unexpected items available for our use (such askitchen utensils that tend to be over looked at other rentals we've used), which is a major plus.

This was our first time staying in Harbert so we were unsure of its exact location in relation to where we wanted to be, which was the wineries Michigan is known for. We were surprised that to find out that the furthest winery we planned to visit (Karma Vista) was only about a half hour drive north. We were able to make a fantastic plan of starting there and make our way back. The last winery we went to ( Baroda Founders) was only about a 10-15 minute drive.

I can't say enough things about how wonderful our trip was. We hope to be able to return in the future, hopefully for a longer stay to really enjoy all the amazing things this house and location has to offer.

Relaxing Summer Getaway

  • 5 of 5

The house is very comfortable and has all the amenities. The location feels secluded without being remote and the beach is lovely. Sawyer is close by with Greenbush Brewery and Sawyer Market for gourmet treats, great farm stand produce, and a great gift shop. I just wish we could have stayed longer for more time to explore the area and enjoy the beach!
