The meaning of Udara in Indonesian is “air” and is also used for “breeze”. We chose the name Villa Udara during the ceremony for the “foundation stone”, when we were surprised by a very welcome breeze of fresh air. Udara is also a genus of butterflies; the species are found in the Indomalaya Ecozone, of which Bali belongs to.
Villa Udara is situated on a property of 600 square meters. The villa consists of a living room with and open space kitchen, three bedrooms and three bathrooms.
In the beautiful gardenwith colorful flowers, lush plants and tropical palmtrees you will find the private pool: enjoy a cool, refreshing swim or read a book on the in-pool bench. The dining area is to be found on the roofcovered terrace. On the gazebo you can enjoy a lovely dinner, prepared by our cook. Or indulge in a heavenly massage from our massage-therapist. Villa Udara is fully staffed with: manager, housekeeping, cook, gardener/poolman and security. We cooperate with several very experienced massage-therapists as wel as drivers, all living locally. Our team is respectful of your privacy; please consult us in case you would prefer to have minimal staffing in the villa during your stay. We will do everything we can to make this the holiday you have been dreaming of.
Villa Udara can accommodate a maximum of six guests. The villa is built in a modern style. By making use of beautiful Balinese details and decoration, the villa offers a authentic feel and look. The house consists of a living area with fully equipped open kitchen, three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a separate, fourth toilet.
The livingroom offers a seating area with two sofas, coffeetable, flatscreen tv and audio set with docking station. The kitchen is situated at the terrace side and is fully equipped with cooking utensils, cutlery and tableware and offers the following equipment: large fridge with freezer; toaster; sandwich toaster; blender; microwave; coffeemachine; waterboiler and a waterdispenser for hot and cold water which is always refilled with drinkingwater.
The dining area with diningtable and six diningchairs is situated on the roofcovered terrace, offering a magnificent view on the garden and swimmingpool.
The living area, kitchen and terrace are equipped with ceilingfans. The bedrooms have both airconditioning as well as ceilingfans.
Each bedroom has its own bathroom with spacious walk-in shower and western toilet. The kingsize beds offer comfortable mattressess and pillows. In the bedroom, behind the bed, you will find a dressing area with large wardrobe (including sufficient clothes hangers), a mirror and a safety deposit box.
One of the bedrooms can be entered both from the terrace as well as the livingroom; the other two bedrooms can be entered from the terrace and through a (lockable) passage through the dressing area of the adjoining bedroom. This offers the possibility to leave passages unlocked when staying with small children.

The heavenly private swimming pool with overflow is 8.5 meters by 4 meters in size and has large relaxstairs as well as a in-pool bench on which you can sit and enjoy your drink or read a book. We are a Dutch family, living in the city of Maastricht. In 2010 we fell in love with Bali during a holiday on this enchanting island.
For inquiries and reservations you will be assisted by Shirley Krapels (daughter of the owners). She has been in Bali many times over the last years and has visited the major part of the island. In case this is your first trip to Bali, feel free to ask her for any recommendations.
Wayan Astawa is your contact person in Bali. He would be happy to inform you about the most beautiful places and must-sees.
Shirley Krapels purchased this villa in 2015
We are drawn to the less touristic part of the island: the authentic north with its mystical coast and the lovely local villages.
We think our house is offering a combination of luxury, authenticity regarding the location in this beautiful local village, nature and still at walking distance of the center of Lovina, as well as the beach.
Our driver and manager is living at just 5 minutes and the masseuse is living just around the corner!
We liked the house, the team and everything a lot. It was very clean and beautifull and also the garden is very beautifull. The food was great, we liked it a lot. The team was also very nice for our childrens.
The beach of Lovina is spacious, quiet and authentic. If you are looking for entertainment, you can visit Spice Beach Club for a relaxing afternoon of lounging and cocktails.
There are many nice and affordable restaurants in Lovina. We would be happy to make recommendations.
There are many nice bars to enjoy a beer with your friends, have some cocktails and listen to live music.
Shops for souvenirs, jewellery, batik-fabrics, clothes and shoes are all available in Lovina Beach. At the boulevard you will find many stalls with local products.
Each morning the coast of Lovina is being visited by many dolphins. The traditional boat will take you on to the sea early in the morning, to be surrounded by dolphins whilst you enjoy the sunrise.
Thermal hot springs of Banjar
At a 20 minute drive, you can visit the Banjer hot springs. These volcanic springs are situated amidst the jungle where you can relax and enjoy the breathtaking nature and have a swim in the natural pool.
The Brahmavihara Arama in Banjar is Bali\'s only Buddhist monastery. Its handsome structure sits in command of magnificently inspiring views down the alley and sweeps across to the sea.
Scuba diving & snorkeling
Menjangan Island is one of Bali\'s most vibrant coral reefs. Menjangan Island, also known as Deer Island stretches for over 150m the rich aquatic life and offers a symphony of underwater delights. Coral, sea fans and plenty of reef fish prosper on the reef. Many guests say that Menjangan Island offers the best snorkeling in Bali.
Jungle tour and waterfalls

You will trek through rice fields, coffee and fruit plantations, cross small jungle rivers, and be in the midst of nature, with stunning views on your way. This trekking tour can be done by anyone, young and old, if you have a basic walking condition.
The roof of Bali, Kintamani
The Kintamani area, located in the north of the Bangli district with an average altitude of 1500 meters, is one of the highest areas of Bali. The Kintamani area was formed between 30,000 and 10,000 years ago by two volcanic eruptions of incredible magnitude, leaving an enormous, double elliptic caldera with the enormous diameter of 10 km by 13 km. Situated around the enormous caldera of the Batur volcano and along the shores of its hugh crater lake are a number of traditional Bali Aga mountain villages.
At about a 1 hour drive, you can find the beautiful 18 holes golf course Bali handara kosaido country club at about 1.150 meters high. Here you can enjoy a pleasant breeze which is a nice change from the tropical temperatures.
