Guestbook comments from the manager

We have been to Camp Jackson for the past 3 summers for our family reunion. We found it after much searching for a place to hold a large family reunion. The main lodge has 7 queen bedrooms on three levels with one other bedroom that has a half wall, full and half baths, two decks with tables and chairs, a large room in the basement with kitchen sink and counters. There are also campsites and a large pavilion with picnic tables, stove, oven, gas grill. We were worried the first year as no one had ever been there before, but were very pleased when we arrived. We have already reserved it for the next 2 summers. It is beautiful, private and peaceful! It is a bit of a drive for some as we all live in different states, but everyone feels it is worth the drive and wants to return. High elevation with pine and aspen trees. We see wildlife everyday, birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and deer. There is a private lake with two paddle boats. You can bring your own canoes, rafts, etc. if you choose. Catch and release fishing permitted without a permit as it is on private land. We have been very well taken care of and we have responded by taking care of the property in return. Thank you to the owners and managers of this property.

Best Family Reunion Place

  • 5 of 5

Our extended family (of 30) just spent four nights in Camp Jackson Lodge. It was a wonderful setting for a nature-loving family like ours, located in the middle of the Manti-La Sal National Forest. There are great hikes in the surrounding mountains, and some long ATV trails that made us wish we'd rented some four-wheelers. The kids LOVED the paddleboats on the private lake and used them constantly. , I highly recommend a stay. We'll likely be back in the near future.
