Great location, great price
Though the building is a bit dated, the condo itself is newly renovated. Clean, easy to be there, lots of amenities. The only odd thing is that there is a window between the two bedrooms with curtains that you can sort of see through. If you are looking for privacy, you might be disappointed.

Stayed a month
The condo was cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed. It's located a 15 minute walk from town on a paved trail. The patio and grill made eating outdoors while watching the sunset a regular evening experience. Roni gave us lots of suggestions to make the month a real home away from home stay.

Good place to stay
Good place for a couple to stay in Steamboat. Location was good and we enjoyed the sunsets on the patio. Was disappointed to have to purchase toilet paper as only two rolls were provided. Also found only two skillets which made cooking difficult; one very small skillet, and one very abused and dirty cast iron skillet that has lost all its seasoning. Never received any communication from owner/manager - no major issues though. Overall great value, would probably stay here again if in area.

About the host

We love Steamboat because it's everything a mountain town should be, down home and friendly. We have two young children and they love to ski and soak in the hot springs, not necessarily in that order, but you get the point. In the summers you'll find us mountain biking on one of the many trails in Steamboat. One favorite is Valley View on Mt Werner, Yee Hah!

Why they chose this property

There is no place better than Steamboat in Colorado. I've been to many spots and none have the same feel. They may claim to have steeper more radical terrain, a friendly character, or more local legends but nothing can beat Steamboat for its overall good vibes, great skiing and amazing hot springs. This is one town where you feel welcome everywhere you go, it's a real small town with small town character not just a ski hill.

What makes this property unique

We're close in to everything that makes Steamboat great, the town! Don't get me wrong, the skiing in Steamboat is phenomenal but the ski mountain might as well be a ghost town otherwise. Like most resorts there is nothing going on when the skiing is over. From our condo you can walk downtown or drive up to the Strawberry Park Hot Springs easily. Downtown comes alive at night with restaurants and bars all up and down main street. Don't get stuck on the mountain watching a DVD, get out and enjoy yourself!
