Our family stayed in Susan's log cabin while attending a funeral in a nearby town. The cabin and location were lovely! The home is clean and comfortable and my kids had a blast exploring the surrounding woods. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again the next time we're in the area!
Seven of us stayed over Easter weekend and had a wonderful time.
What a spacious, well decorated, very clean home with very comfy beds.
Great location to the ski hill which is only a few minutes drive away.
This house is absolutely amazing!! It is even better in person than it is in the photos. It had plenty of room for 6 adults and 4 kids to sleep and spread out. The garage was perfect to keep all the ski gear in without dragging it inside the house and the ping pong table was a hit with the kids. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook and eat in!! The house was spotless and well maintained. We loved all the ski decor and the fireplace was perfect at night. You even have a great view of the mountain out most of the windows!! The Jay Peak resort and mountain are less 2 minutes up the road. The indoor water park was AWESOME, and of course the skiing was great. We would highly recommend this rental to friends and family and we will definitely be back soon!!
The accommodations were great, and the distance from Jay was perfect. Will likely look to rent this again next year.
Every year our group, 4 dads and 4 teen sons, pick a different mountain to ski for a long weekend. The entire group stated that so far this has been the best place we have stayed in for our ski trips. We found the house to be nicer and roomier than the pictures portrayed on the website.
The house is in great shape inside and out, clean and well furnished. It is tastefully decorated but not overdone, and nothing is frayed, broken, or worn out. It is so close to the mountain you can “see” the weather as well as trails and tram, from the front porch – beautiful view. Plenty of parking for large groups, the heated garage racks and hangers easily stow all your gear. The ping pong table was a blast, with some fierce competition over the weekend. It was nice for a change instead of xbox.
The kitchen was very well equipped, though we did not cook elaborate meals there was plenty of bakeware, casserole dishes, pots and pans. Big fridge and plenty of cabinet space made food storage easy. The heated floor was very nice; comfortable enough for stocking feet. The fireplace worked great, but we had to turn the heat down to enjoy the aesthetic. Bedrooms all were nicely and adequately set up with good linens, blankets and fur throws. There was plenty of room for all of us to separate and be alone or be all together in the same place. Nice.
We also loved Jay Peak. With only one high speed quad and the tram(which was nice), the remaining lifts need to be updated. However, there were more than a few narrow, winding trails, good vertical, and the glades were excellent. Best glade skiing in a long time.
Working with Susan was easy, finding the house easy, all directions, wireless, etc. easy. The security deposit was refunded within a week of our departure. All in all a great stay. If we return to the area we would most definitely stay in this house again.
The log cabin is perfect for a week/weekend trip as it is located 2 min away from Jay Peak resort.
Beds are comfortable, nice heated ceramic floors in kitchen and bathroom and it is far enough from the road so you wont hear any trucks.
Only con: no spa
