2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin; Relaxing hot tub, sauna and gas log fireplace
What makes this Cabin unique
We love our cabin and enjoy sitting on the deck and relaxing after a great day of hiking or swimming. This is a great spot to come home to and we are in a perfect location for some great day trips. The Forks Restaurant is located so close there is no need to worry about driving into town for dinner.
100% refund if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date.
3 day getaway
Cabin was very clean. Nice getaway for romantic time alone. Would not be much for the kids to do though as the TV did not work. But the property was very clean. I would go back even though I think the price was a little high especially for during the week stay.
Our stay was fine, but not as expected.
The bedrooms and bath were well done and pretty. We didn't use the sauna, but that was nicely done too. The kitchen was as expected, but the sitting space was not a good gathering place. The space had one soft chair and kitchen chairs. That was OK, but if you are looking for a place to congregate with family there isn't a place in the cabin to do that.
The hot tub was nice, but the instructions were not good to figure out the use of it. I had a problem of how to stop the hot tub motor from working all night and it was noisy. I finally figured it out after four attempts at 2 a.m. and was able to sleep.
The property owner can't do anything about the power outage, but the power was off the first evening until 12:30 a.m. and then again the next day for several hours. The weather was bad and rainy so we were sitting in the dark the first evening. I couldn't find the candles that were mentioned in the instruction manual.
We also had only one spare roll of toilet paper and the water pressure was very low.
We are an older couple so the many stairs were a bit much.
I would recommend the place to people who like the outdoors but we were there for a rest for my husband who was suffering from back issues. So we were in the wrong place for our situation.
The online pictures show a beautiful view, but that wasn't our view. The view was what sold the place to me. We were going to be sitting around looking at that view. The view is limited to a few cabins. We had a wall of trees , no mountains.
So, I think it was nicely decorated in the bedrooms and the decks were nice. That area of West Virginia offers a lot of beautiful scenery and activities for the more able crowd, so go see for yourself.
Nice quick weekend get away. Love the views and mountains, The Hot tub was amazing and relaxing. Loved the Deck not so fond of the traffic noise. The internet was very slow very difficult watching movies do to constantly loading.
Can't beat the price, nicely decorated with comfortable beds. For people who will use them, the hot tub and sauna are an added value. Full size stove and small appliances save on meal costs; but, the hotel sized fridge is not large enough to hold 1 weeks food for 2 people. Common room seating is limited. The photos are accurate, what you see is what you get. Cabin is listed at 2100 sf , judging by the pictures I knew that couldn't be accurate; as it turns out, 2100 sf is probably all 4 cabins total. Bring a flashlight, some of the steps are dark and if you arrive at night, getting the lock box open can be an issue. Don't rely on GPS for directions because the cell signal is spotty. Close to town and other activities. Advise drive the extra mile to Walmart for shopping and stay away from Kroegers. I would definately consider this property if I return to the area
The hot tub was a nice touch
Great place to get away and relax!!!
Convenient location to National Parks
The cabin was decorated in a country chic decor that was very tastefully done. The place was neat and had two master bedrooms that are identical. Kitchen had much of what you would need to cook, fridge is a tiny fridge so don’t count on freezer use. There is a large Swedish sauna in between both masters bathrooms. It was very enjoyable. There is a private hot tub if you get cabin 4 that was lovely. Just make sure to follow the troubleshooting in the book provided, if you end up pushing too many buttons it does not warm up. The bathroom ceiling fans really need a deep cleaning, they had lots of dirt and dust. As people with allergies, we could not turn them on. We just had two people , but keep in mind, if you go with two couples there really isn’t anywhere for all four of you to sit comfortably in the kitchen/den area, though in good weather the deck area is expansive. The owners pictures shows space accurately The cabin is located near many wonderful parks and forests. We saw Shenandoah, Canaan Valley, Blackwater Falls, Monongahela National Forest and Seneca Rocks. The cabins are attached to one another at the dead end of the Forks Inn Restaurant, which had expensive, but very good food. You are in the mountains so WiFi is spotty, we had none the entire time there since workers are on strike. You are also overlooking the highway 33 so you will hear truck noises, we used white noise to block it out. It is a convenient spot to hit many parks.
