Absolutely Amazing

  • 5 of 5

Can't say enough about this property. From the minute I arrived to the day I left I was sure I had landed on something special. I even looked online the day I left to see if I could rebook the place for the holidays.

Stunningly beautiful

  • 5 of 5

Rusty and I love hiking, and a few years ago we began to look for nearby trails and HomeAway accommodations in October of each year to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This year we lucked upon this little gem. The Shelton's really have a special touch in decorating. They have made this sweet cabin so adorable. The linens are luxurious and a fabulous way to end a busy day enjoying the nearby trail system. Even during a drought we were able to enjoy God's majesty. The sunset view from the bluff next to the cabin is breathtaking. I highly recommend a stay at Hemlock Falls if you plan to visit the Fiery Gizzard, Foster Falls, Stone Door, or other hiking in the area.

Relaxing getaway! Highly recommended.

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I truly enjoyed the peace and quiet. We sat on the front porch every morning and enjoyed amazing sunsets on the bluff by the firepit each night. Cabin was cozy and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone who needs to get away and unplug for a few days.

Jewel In The Bluff

  • 5 of 5

Jewel on the Bluff. We rode up to the cabin, & loved it immediately before we saw inside. The cabin decor is rustic elegance. The comfort, peace & quiet is priceless. We had a fire on the Bluff where beauty of the Views were truly breathtaking. Only The sounds of fire crackling and nature. The stars were shining on us. Two porches to rock your cares away. This cabin is close to attractions. I wouldnt change a thing about it. I recommend AL Capones High Pt resturant. Wonderful ambiance and food. Smoke Housee BBQ great too.

Owners are caring and very helpful...This is a true treat of a getaway......Thank you for sharing this lovely place. We have found our new Favorite place. HEMLOCK FALLS.

Beautiful, private paradise, perfect in every way

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is perfect in every way. If you are looking for total seclusion and privacy, this is it. Located on 8 acres overlooking the Fiery Gizzard, you will have stunning mountain views, waterfalls only steps away, and gorgeous sunsets right from your own porch (and hummingbirds!). Lynn has thought of every detail from picnic baskets, tea lights for a romantic night out on the porch in rocking chairs, and a thousand other little touches that make you feel right at home the minute you walk through the door. We drove into town and ate breakfast at T's diner (home-cooked goodness), and visited several hiking spots in the area that also had beautiful waterfalls and swimming holes. The towering hemlock trees are a must see! Lynn has a big notebook full of all the local eateries and attractions, but we hated leaving the cabin because it's so relaxing and we wanted to soak it in as much as we could. I'm the type to do lots of research and spend hours deciding on things like this, but this cabin stood out from all the rest and I just knew it was "the one". I could not have made a better decision and I promise you will not be disappointed, so stop looking because this is the cabin to choose!
