Located at 23 Stoney Creek Road, this beautiful vacation home spells “RELAX”. Giant live oak trees with dripping Spanish moss will greet you at the front of the house. Once inside, entire wall of windows provides expansive view of beautiful and peaceful tidal marsh at the back. It has been totally renovated but decorated to keep some of the old world charm of 1970’s as it was built in those time. The house is at short walking distance (3 blocks) to the famous Harbour Town. Addition to beautiful harbor view they offer many water activities at the pier – pirate sails for the kids, nature tours, parasailing, wave running, boat rentals, charter fishing, and dinner cruises. Harbour Town Golf Links, home of the PGA Tour's Heritage Classic, Sea Pines Racquet Club, and Habour Town pool (free access) are only 5 minute walk (2 blocks). Beautiful Sea Pines beach is just a short driving or bike riding distance.

This home with high ceilings provides three spacious bedrooms; each has its own bathroom and TV. On the main floor, there is a bedroom with a king size bed. The master bedroom, which is on the second floor, has a king size bed and its own romantic balcony with an amazing view of the marsh. The third bedroom is also on the second floor and it has two comfy queen size beds. Your family and friends will love to have 2 queen size instead of usual twin size beds. Adjacent to the spacious living room is a game room that has a checker board game table and loads of games for both adults and children.

For your convenience and enjoyment at the Sea Pines' beautiful beach, we provide beach gear - 6 chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, and sand toys for small children.

Great location!

The property has a wonderful location, walking distance to harbour town and bike distance to beach and everywhere else. We loved it! The property is a little dated and run down but clean!

This is a Gem

We came to the island to attend a wedding with our adult children. The directions for check in were very clear and easy. The home is very clean and the location can't be beat! We had an easy walk to Harbor Town and took full advantage of this. In the evenings we sat out on the beautiful deck that overlooks Deer Island and the Marsh. Truly breathtaking. The wonder was so responsive to any questions or concerns. My only suggestion would be to have a keurig coffeemaker and also to have a keyless entry option. As a former vrbo host on the island, I can tell you, Jean's property and attentiveness are outstanding. Many thanks for sharing your home with us.

Disappointed With Beach Access-Not Welcome at Nearby Beaches

The home was comfortable. What was disappointing was the beach access. The online description indicated parking was an issue at the beaches but did not elaborate. Before ending up at the public beach miles away from the house we visited the two closest beaches and after discussion was told that although the beaches were public, the parking around the beaches were private. When we first arrived at Towne Beach we were waved in and so we proceeded to set up on the beach. After realizing we forgot the cooler a member of our party went to retrieve it and when he tried to re-enter was told that the beach was private and that he could not re-enter. When he questioned this policy considering his ease of entry minutes earlier, two security guards were called in which was totally unnecessary. We were told that we needed to go to the beach at the Beach Club. When we arrived at the gate of the Beach Club we were told that only the first 50 cars were permitted to use the private parking lot for the beach and of course we were car 51. We were then directed to the public beach several miles away. When we contacted our host we were informed that we could take the trolly to the nearby beaches which might work if you are without beach gear. Guests need to be told upfront that they are not permitted to park at the nearby beaches. The reason you rent a beach home is for easy beach access and that was not provided although implied online. I will not be returning under any circumstances.

We live in Aiken, South Carolina, which is 3 hours away from Hilton Head Island. We had lived in San Francisco bay area for 10 years before moving to south due to a job transfer. We love natural beauty of the lowcountry and like to come down to Hilton Head Island as often as we can.

Why they chose this property

We love this property because it has a beautiful and tranquil view of the marsh and is surrounded by majestic live oak trees. We also enjoy being so close to the Harbour Town. We love the fireworks on the 4th of July and the boat trips available at the pier. Only 1.7 miles away is a beautiful Sea Pines beach that our family enjoys so much. Sea Pines Plantation is the place with ideal mixture of natural beauty and luxury & comfort.

What makes this property unique

Staying near Harbour Town gives you a feeling of being in the middle of it all. The iconic Harbour Town Lighthouse is right there on your backyard and variety of water activities are available at the Harbour Town. Harbour Town Golf Links, the place for a famed PGA golf tournament, swimming pool, and Sea Pines Racquet Club are only 2 blocks from our house. Just a short drive or bike riding gets you to the beautiful Sea Pines beach.
