Condo was great, building meh
The condo was as advertised, but our stay was a little rocky.
Our first morning, Sunday, the fire alarms went off at 6am freaking out our kids and forcing the whole building to evacuate to the circle in front of the building. After an hour we were told it was a false alarm and could return to our rooms. A women in the elevator on the way back up said it happened to her last time they were there, so apparently an issue (?)
Three of the seven mornings we were woken at 8am by chainsaws trimming the palm trees at the pool and surrounding areas and closing the pool for one day. Not the most relaxing if wanting to sleep in on vacation. I feel like this could have been done later in the afternoon when people were done using the pool.
While they have signs discouraging it, people were down at the pool as early as 7am reserving chairs at the pool. The pool police were pretty good at getting you a chair if there were none and you asked but it is a thing. They also yelled at us for throwing a ball in the pool, which was odd because there were maybe 4 people IN the pool at the time, we were not inconveniencing anyone but my 12 y/o was discouraged and went upstairs.
The condo itself was great, updated and had everything we needed. I really like the area and the beach was great. I would love to say we’d be back but with as many issues that we had we’ll probably look somewhere else next time.
