You will not find a nicer home in Williams. Just a few blocks from downtown Williams shops, eateries and the Grand Canyon Railway, and 60 miles from the Grand Canyon and Sedona! Our freshly remodeled 2 Bedroom 1 Bathroom home situated on a mountainside, surrounded by huge ponderosa pines and old growth oaks. It feels like you are in a forest, yet everything you need is close by. Built in 1950, but EVERYTHING INSIDE IS NEW, except the beautifully refinished original oak flooring. A bright, peaceful and serene setting for getting away from it all. One bedroom has a king bed, the other has a queen, plus a queen sleeper sofa sleeps a total of 6. Bath has a combination tub and shower, along with a vanity for doing makeup and hair. Flat screen TVs are in every room, a laundry room for your convenience, and a cozy wood burning fireplace for those chilly winter nights. The kitchen has beautiful marble countertops, refrigerator with icemaker, gas stove, a microwave and is well stocked with every appliance necessary to make a simple or gourmet meal. Outside, you'll find the patio has a table & chairs, a lovely new deck, swings, and glider. We offer your choice of both propane and charcoal BBQ grills. About Merrie

Our names are Darrel & Merrie, we met in Williams in 1973, and have been married 42 years. We have 2 grown children and 5 grandchildren, all of whom we absolutely adore.

Merrie purchased this house in 2015

Why Merrie chose Grand Canyon

Merrie grew up in the area, and has always called it 'home'. She loves the mountains, pines and oaks, and the quiet pace of the location. She remembers this mountainside community from her childhood, and calls it enchanting. We are confident you will enjoy the property, and make many happy memories there.

What makes this house unique

We found this home in March 2015, and fell in love at first sight. Although it needed a lot of work, we knew we could make it prettier than ever. The views are amazing, both day and night, and the setting is more like being in the country rather than town. We still have a lot of plans for making the property even better, but we want to make it available to you right away. We know you will love it!!!

This was the second time we stayed at this property. We plan on making it a yearly event. The property is very clean and the owner communicates well.

Clean, adorable, and very comfortable. Highly recommended!

  • 5 of 5

I've stayed at many VRBO properties and this exceeded my expectations. Pictures don't do it justice. It's nicely decorated, clean and very comfortable. I was surprise to see some disposable ice chest in one of the closest, thought it was such a nice touch. We did not use as we were prepared with our own ice chest, but if again what a nice touch.

It was a great stay, only wished we could have stayed longer... next time!

Dream come true!!!

  • 5 of 5

Loved our stay in this cute and cozy cottage. Very comfortable for my group of 4 adults. This cottage had so many amenities but honestly we never cooked as we were on the go so much that we ate out and snacked in the evening. We definately gave the coffee pot a work out and used the washer and dryer. This house was so clean, perfect location for our vacation itinerary, very homey and decorated so cute inside. Other reviews talked about a few squeaks in the flooring but that was not a big deal, in fact it was like being at home for us as we too own an older home. This was an amazing dream vacation for my hubby who dreamed of seeing the Grand Canyon and that we did ! We drove to the Canyon one morning and took the free shuttle to see some points.(free shuttle so worth it) That evening we booked a "Pink Jeep Tour" to see the sunset over the Canyon simply beautiful and enjoyed the ride and our Guide Ted alot. Another day we drove to Sedona, a must see via the drive through Oak Creek Canyon from Williams (just as this owner suggested). We booked another jeep tour here with "A Day In The West" truely a backcountry wild ride that was so much fun and our guide Jeff was awesome. If staying in Williams go see Bearizona, patron the local shops on Route 66 and be sure to eat at the Pine Country Restaurant so yummy. We hiked to a couple of old indian ruins and cliff dwellings like Montezuma's Well so cool. There were lots more but we are not seasoned hikers...hahaha. By far our greatest adventure was taking a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon.......WOW !!!!!! My brother-in-law and I were not so sure about taking this ride however, my hubby informed me that this was his dream vacation and myself, his sister and his brother-in-law could and i quote "suck it up and do it". ( LOL) We booked the Majestic South Rim Tour (about 30 mins flight time) with Grand Canyon Heli Tours at the Grand Canyon airport in a Ecostar Helicopter. Long story short the two scared ones me and my brother-in-law were placed window side and we LOVED IT !!!!! Go do it if you get the chance just breath taking. Merrie ,the owner of this cottage was a pleasure to work with and please consider this gem for your stay in Williams,AZ. Would highly reccomend it.

Thanks , Tracy and Leo from Florida
