Nestled amongst the 50' Spruce and Maple trees and 'protected' by a cedar post fence, the "Stockade" offers plenty of fun and R&R in this historic retreat. Within 1.5 hrs drive from Ottawa, Canada's capital or 15 minute drive of the village of Portland Ontario, this rustic charm property has lots to do for all ages.

Whether it's sitting in an Adirondack chair, looking out from The Point admiring the wonderful Big Rideau Lake, diving off the dock, exploring the "secret nature trails", wading in off the shoreline, or playing a game of badminton, your days will all go by too quickly. Either afternoon naps in the hammock with a good mystery story for Mum or Dad, or a game of volleyball or croquet for the kids, will lead into 'Happy Hour' in the Gazebo or a friendly game of Horseshoes. Then an evening of roasting marshmallows (on a clear night) or card and board games (on a rainy night) leave you sleepy for a comfortable rest in the three bedroom main house, four bedroom "Corral" or double bed 'Bunk house' (down by the lake).
