A very comfortable 3 bedroom house that's elevated with paddy views, this house is located in the very pretty village of Mihiripenna, just minutes from Thalpe Beach and Unawatuna Beach.
The beaches are a very short tuk tuk/ scooter ride away.
The house consists of a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a second smaller double bedroom with large en-suite bathroom and a single bedroom.
At the lower garden will be a swimming pool which will be completed by July 2016 and the price of US$160 per night takes into account the swimming pool addition to the house.
There is a large living/ dining space in the outside verandah which overlooks the paddy fields and the countryside.
Inside is a large lounge space which is primarily the TV lounge space with a flat-screen TV and Blue-Ray DVD Player. Additionally, there is a modern kitchen fitted with oven-cooker, refrigerator and all other cooking appliances, utensils, crockery and cutlery.
All the bedrooms are air-conditioned and bathrooms have hot water. All bedrooms, living and dining spaces, kitchen and verandah are ventilated by ceiling fans.
A brand new washing machine is housed in a separate laundry room with a sunny lawn area with clothes racks for drying the laundry.
The house is fully furnished with all bed-linen and pillows supplied by Legacy Linen, the premier brand and supplier to most upmarket private villas and boutique hotels, and good quality towels provided.
A houseboy is available for housekeeping/ cleaning and to assist in the kitchen if required.
There's broadband WiFi and satellite TV.
House Rules: Guests are expected to make themselves at home as much as they can, but to treat the house with care and respect as they would their own homes.
Great place to stay and Satish is very helpful and friendly.
The house is very convenient, pool very pretty with the view on rice fields. We recommend to stay @ Serendipity house (our family of 2 adults and 3 young adults). The house is 10 min away to the safe beaches and restaurants (tuk tuk). Breakfast was prepared every morning. A very good pick. We recommend!
My wife, parents, 17 year old sister and I all stayed at Serendipity for 3 nights at the start of April.
The home is beautifully decorated and kept immaculately clean and well maintained.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are very beautiful, but the main attraction is the Veranda. A beautiful place to relax during the hottest parts of the day watching the chipmunks, birds and monkeys go about their business. In the evening it is a fantastic place to eat dinner with the help of the cook Sathish provides if you wish (We highly recommend using this service as the food is simply divine and better than you will have in any restaurant- a great way to taste the local food at a good price).
Sathish is very responsive and can help in organising pretty much anything you may need including airport pick-up/drop-off, whale-watching tours, scuba trips all at prices you are not likely to find cheaper anywhere else.
We highly recommend Serendipity to other travellers as a classy beautiful place to stay.
